All dis driver swaps to have max win by 15 sec in 2025 too☠️
@@noahcaroppo6264 i mean its gone be 100% RB up front, even Merc said they wont develop the car much anymore and Focus on the new regulations coming up so the car will stay pretty much the same.
Yup, these two guys need to give it a rest!
It's over 🤣⛳
Maybe teams should get extra money on the cost cap if they take a rookie driver.
Or at least, repairs done if a rookie crashes, get a certain amount covered by a dispensation.
It's a travesty that Lawson isn't on the grid right now.
Their are 7 drivers I would kick out from the current grid. Teams are scared of giving young drivers a chance
@@Karincl7 who are the 7 drivers?
He probably will come mid season break. Danny Ricc looks done and Yuki, frankly, could be passed on as well.

Hopefully 2025 and 2026 F1 seasons are less boring than 2022 to 2024.
This aged well
Lawson and Bearmann hopefully. Let see what Antonelli will do in F2, think 2025 is a year too soon. But personal wish that also Pourchaire and Drugovich will get a seat besides the other 2.
Drugovich should definitely be on the grid; it is such a waste the fact that he doesn't drive an f1 car already. I do hope Stroll jr wakes up and decides one morning that he's not just in the mood to drive f1 cars and just want to get 🐱s, coke and night clubs for the rest of his 20s and open the spot for Drugovich.
Was Antonelli a bit rubbish in the Saudi F2 feature race?
Only saw the short highlights but he seemed to be conceding overtakes quite easily.
@@luckyspurshe finished 6th in his second race at the first time in like a decade where PREMA have failed to perform for multiple races in a row (seems like theyve been slow to adapt to the new cars wiping out their usual advantage, although my guess is theyll be back on top soon)
@@luckyspursgot undercut by Crawford and put a huge fight up against him on exit probably didn’t help him as he lost a lot of time as a few drivers such as cordeel got lucky with sc
@@luckyspurs I watched the full race and while 6th doesn’t sound all that impressive he actually did quite well especially for the second race of someone who skipped F3 straight to F2. He got caught up in a little turn one chaos so he lost some places off start and picked up some wing damage. But what caught my eye was the way in which he battled wheel to wheel with other drivers. It very much reminded me of max as far as his aggression and going for bold moves yet very controlled. He did over extend a bit towards the end and lost a place (different tire strategy played a bit of a role as well) so there’s still room for some improvement but his race craft and general style of driving definitely stood out compared to the rest of the field. Not to mention he did out qualify and beat Bearman in both races in Bahrain but unfortunately Prema dropped the ball bad on the cars performance so they started towards the very back of the field. Kimi still managed to score a point though.
If he continues to improve and does well in the championship I honestly think Toto should put him straight in the Mercedes and not waste any of his time at Williams. I feel like sticking young talent in a backfield team for a year could do more harm than good. Battling drivers at the front of the field is far more beneficial than dealing with the goober shit a the back of the field like Magnussen trains, that helps no one’s race craft.
You forgot Vesti💀 he didnt win F2 but that was really not his own fault, he was faster and more consistent than Theo
"More consistent than theo" the inly reason theo won f2 was because he was consistent
@@aramomusic Have you watched it...
He would have won if Prema actually attached his tires properly.

I'm getting tired of people forgetting Frederik Vesti. He is literally a Mercedes reserve driver.
Probably because Mercedes are going all in with Antonelli.
@@soundscape26 Probably. But still crazy how he's overlooked by all the media.
Vesti got robbed of the title last year. If he won he might have more attention on him.
I think he went to WEC; he has moved on
@@chuza_97I’m pretty sure he went to WEC because there aren’t as many races so he can still be relevant for Mercedes in F1.
Liam Lawson is absolutely the best choice among them.
Me three!
Lawson, Antonelli, Bearman, and Pourchaire are equally the best choice.
Drugo > Lian lawson
I honestly don't think Antonelli is ready yet, the first 2 F2 weekends showed that he is good but also that he needs more experience and just more time
Same thoughts.
Just grow in F2 and wait for the new regulations to make a debut.. Worst case scenario would be him going to Williams and getting demolished by Albon (who's really comfortable with that car/tyres/engine/blabla).
@@kupuh
But Verstappen came in 2015 as 17 year old and outscored his teamate Carlos Sainz with points back then. Antonelli will be 19, when he comes to F1, so he is not that less experienced and he will gain more experience to become better just like Verstappen has done. If Antonelli really is the best driver of the new generation. He should outscore Albon in his first season then.
Oh God, broccoli hair generation is coming in hot.
Between Antonelli and Bearman, Liberty media are hoping for a 30% increase in 15 year old girls watching Formula 1.

Herman and Lawson so good
Lawson best. He drove tractor tauri last year to p9 and wasn't hyped as much as Bearman for driving the second fastest car to p6.
Maybe Summer break Lawson for Ricciardo
People like you jumped the gun there. Like you can’t compare him to Tsunoda there because Yuki was impeded in quali and taken out in the race. So it’s hard to gauge accurately where the car was in the pecking order that day. Same with Monza.
P7*
de vries's f1 debut was also very simillar and didnt get as much hype too
Lawson wasn't hyped? He was the talk of the town for a month or so.
My list:
Bearman - 6
Maloney - 1
Pourchaire - 4
Drugovich - 0
Doohan - 0
Antonelli - 4 because i think he needs more time and is currently not performing in the newly designed F2 cars.
Lawson - 9
And last but DEFINETLY not least:
Frederik Vesti - 8
Honestly Zane Maloney was incredible in f2 in the first 2 race weekends. He was definetely the best driver on the grid in all of the races.
He’s a Bahrain specialist, genuinely unbelievable on that track. He also would probably only get a couple of points if not for safety cars in Saudi. We will see him drop down the order soon, but he’s still a solid F2 driver, just not F1 calibar
Granny in Montreal feels the same way
Did he have car issues in quali?@@dangraycon
@@dangraycon I think you're underestimating him but we'll get a clearer picture in the middle of the season. He was decent in Melbourne last year and at Imola in F3. I think it's the Monaco-onwards races that could be a problem for him.
I hope he pulls some of his 2022 heroics again though. His last few races that year were incredible and with a little better luck in the first half of the season he could've won the championship pretty handily.
His wheel-to-wheel fights last year and in F3 were incredible but he struggled with tyre management last year. His dominance in Bahrain shows he's improved his tyre management, and 15th to 5th in the Saudi sprint showed he's still the best overtaker on the F2 grid. Sauber would be crazy to pick Pourchaire over Maloney.
I want to see Bearmann, Lawson and Vesti get a seat next year.
I really hope Vesti gets the chance to show himself this year.. appendicitis for Russel or Hamilton too maybe?…
Gonna be honest pretty sure Mick is more likely to stand in than vesti, unless it clashes with his endurance races. So not only are you hoping for the unlikely event of needing a stand in, you also need it to land on one of just 4 f1 weekends that clash with wec. Not impossible but I wouldn't bet money on it
Vesti would have to hope Mick was also unwell or busy with WEC. Mick would be chosen first.
@@elcactusdelamuerte506Mercedes chose 2 reserve drivers because Mick couldn’t be in some weekends. So they are probably 50/50. Besiddes I think it is better for Mercedes to give Vesti a try. I mean it has been over a year since Mick has driven a F1 car.
@@olivervestergaard8767 I know but there’s only 4 weekends that mick will miss and it’s not like Vesti is a full time reserve either as he misses 3 f1 weekends with his European Le Mans schedule. Yes mick hasn’t driven in over a year, but he’s still actually driven an f1 car outside of a testing situation something vesti hasn’t
Mick also still gets a lot more press and mentions by guys at merc (including toto) so they clearly see him as higher up the food chain.
Also tbf I don’t think they hired two reserves because both drivers are missing time as merc have had multiple reserve drivers for most of their time as a constructor. Pretty sure in 2020 they had 4 reserves, 3 of which weren’t actively competing in any other series and hilariously said 3 drivers had been inactive to the point they no longer held valid super licenses.
@@elcactusdelamuerte506 I have read that the reason they have chosen 2 reserve drivers is so if one of them isn't there they still have a driver to put in.
Also I think it is better to give Vesti a try so he can actually show what he's made of.
Mick has had many chances before, but he has never done anything with it in Haas.
And it is also important for Mercedes to boost their young drivers on the driver market.

5 rookies is quite unrealistic imho. Sainz, especially him, and Zhou will keep their places on the grid.

An idea. Reserve drivers are required to race half of the sprint races covering both halves of the season for them to receive driving time until a number are eventually promoted in the future.
I think that they should give kimi another season in f2, i feel like that throwing him into an f1 seat in 2025 is too early, and plus its still the beginning of the season so were not sure if sargeant will improve or not.
I’d love to see one of the best Indycar guys Pat’Ward, Josef Newgarden or especially Álex Palou!

Hypothetically, if Maloney wins the F2 title this year, what argument can be made for Pourchaire over him? Maloney already won more races in 2 weekends than Pourchaire did the whole of 2023 and he will have won the title in his 2nd year.
@@sheeshman9713 three years of experience testing f1 machinery and a season of super formula which is a lot closer to f1 than f2?
Yeah it took pourchaire three years, but for a comparison Gasly won gp2 in his third year, while Mick Schumacher won it in his second. I don’t think anyones gonna claim the Frenchman should be dropped for the German.
@@elcactusdelamuerte506 No one is talking about Schumacher. His time is done. If Maloney dominates what many call the most talented F2 lineup in recent memory, surely he should jump Pourchaire in the F1 waiting line?
Danny Ric out and Liam in. Would energize the VCARB and bug Horner since he loves DR.
That if Horner is still team principal by then...
Jack well race in F1, he absolutely had the talent. He dominated F2 in the last 3 races of 2023. Bad luck was the only thing that stopped him winning the championship in F2.
He has the backing and race craft pedigree from his 5 x world champion father. And I know they were 500cc, this in my opinion only strengthen's his resolve.
His Dad Mick Doohan along with another rich dad in Paul Feeney pretty much took Karting Australia, an affordable and cost effective way to start racing careers and priced every driver that was running on small budgets already out of the series so that only the drivers and teams with the biggest wallets could compete.
Hence why some people commented on why Jack Doohan’s F2 career came to an end was because ‘He ran out of Karting Australia’s money’. He’s talented for sure, but he can’t put it together across a whole season. He has a career in WEC though if he so chooses to
It's an interesting perspective! However, you can't win consecutive races and start from pole in F2 if you don't have extreme talent, particularly when the cars are much the same, and also because comprehensively beat his team mates....
Alpine clearly see what I and I'm sure many others see to have him as their reserve. The fact is, if either of their drivers can't drive for whatever reason J. DOOHAN is in a F1 car racing.
Let's just see how it all plays out, I truly hope he gets the chance full-time
Thanks for your comment too.

Lawson replaces Ricciardo !
Unless Tsunoda goes after that Honda powertrain in Aston Martin in which case Lawson replaces Tsunoda
I predict that will happen at the summer break of 2024. I don't think we'll have to wait until 2025.
Nope, CB Walker is going to replace him
@@hepo3544 He will and that's in 2026.
@@hakshustletv Who is CB Walker?
Just watched my first ever F2 race last week and man that racing is amazing. Shame F1 doesn't have anywhere close to the same amount of action.
Feel like making the cars quicker hasn't helped F1 at all.
Dunno what F1 is doing wrong but it seems that all the other championships I watch have much better racing...
Maybe this has already been talked about in the UK, but I just found out today that Ollie Bearman is the first F1 driver to make his debut in a Ferrari since Arturo Merzario in 1972 🤯
Now Mercedes are most overdue to put a rookie in their car, the last one was Ricardo Zonta in 1999, if I'm not mistaken (when the team's identity had just transitioned from Tyrrell to BAR). That's still a solid 25+ year run that could potentially be ended by Kimi Antonelli, but not even close to the historic dimension of Bearman's Ferrari debut.
More important question... why aren't some of these drivers getting cut? Sargent and Kmag are obvious, but what about Zhou and Tsunoda?
i honestly would love to see lawson and bearman on the grid . It would make the midfield battle alot more interesting and hopefully scoring points for them would be alot easier .
What about Iwasa, Vesti, Martins, O'Ward as well as the multitude of red bull young drivers for a brand new RB lineup? There is so much talent out there and the cost cap is making teams stick with reliable but past their best drivers.
The issue with Pato is that McLaren don’t have pull over any other team like Merc and RB, and Lando and Oscar are young and delivering.
And also the guys already waiting. Vesti and Schumacher and Drugovich and Schwartzman. Seems like we're skipping a lot of drivers who are already with teams to find new talent.
Thank god I’m not the only one who thinks Iwasa deserves more notice!!
I think pato is a Long shot. But Iwasa needs to impress in SF, he's done alright but not as good vs his teammate in the first race. Vesti is an interesting one to be honest, I think his career will pan out like schwartzman unnfortunately. Martins definitely looks like the best chance so far, he, alongside with Bearman were the standout rookies last season and are the ones to watch
Lawson and Theo are going to be a batch of drivers that deserved to get into f1 but didnt cause the evo young bearman and Kimi come up before they got a seat unfortunately
James Bowles said that he won't put Kimi in the Williams next year. He's looking more on his academy drivers, like O'sullivan and Colapinto
Are they better? Merc still have a pull at Williams, they even "gave" them their TP
I think the new drivers will be: Kimi, Bearman, Lawson and Pourchaire.
With Bottas, Zhou, Magnussen and Daniel most likely leaving F1.
This, but change Bottas with Sargeant (I see Kimi going to Williams).
@@flyingphoenix113 Ah, but I’d imagine Alex gets the promotion to Merc to team with his best friend and Kimi steps into Alex’s seat.

I don't think Stake will get rid of both drivers for 2025... in fact they'll give the team what they need until Audi takes over.
SAuber won't take on another rookie, I think they will go for 2 experienced drivers AUdi will take over completly next year and I don't think they want to develop drivers for other teams and also they need experience for development of the team and car.
Kudos to you both for coming up with some great F1 content so frequently cause currently F1 is more interesting off the track than on it.
Drugo & Hulk were heavily linked to Sauber, think one of them will move there.
Sargeant, Bottas, Magnussen, Ricciardo and Stroll all need to go. Tsunoda and Zhou will be added to that if they don't step it up this season. Even then, the reason why we have this situation is because drivers don't get sufficient testing before their rookie season and they all "need time", even when they're blatantly not good enough (Sargeant). Too many excuses.
Slowcardo and my boy Lance Slow gots to go ⛳
Why Stroll? He brings investment and money. In that sense he’s a highly valuable driver. Not THAT. Ad a driver either. Let’s not treat F1 like it is a meritocracy. These things are important.
Zhou should go as well. He’s been worse than giovinazzi if not the same calibre of driver where he’s getting trounced by a washed driver

Nothing, but surely he's gone both Liam and Ollie have had cameos and looked way better in Liams case quite close to Yuki who himself is a good benchmark.
Crazy theory/prediction/wild guess... I'm not convinced that Alonso will go to Merc in 2025, since he's personal friends with the Strolls (and he tends to stick with friends, eg, Flavio. Plus the Honda engine starts the next year. But if he does, would papa Stroll go with Sainz (not a bad choice, to be sure), or go to Toto and and Alonso, and propose a swap of Alonso to Merc in exchange for Antonelli to AM? If you were Kimi, wouldn't you rather go to a near-the-top-tier team like AM instead of a perennial also-ran like Williams?
With the issue with F2 rules on champions and F1 not wanting a 11th Team. Couldn't someone just dominate F2 but then just intentionally not win the championship and be like in P2 and still be able to keep racing and still show fact on how dominant they are as a driver
to increase the chances for F2 champions to join F1, my suggestion would be
Team 11, run by the FIA under the same rules as every other team. highest finishing F2 driver without a seat elsewhere get promoted to Team 11 for 2 years. at any point, if a F1 team wants to give a Team 11 driver a seat, the drivers contract with the FIA should not be able to stop that.
What do you think of pepe marti?? Podium on F2 debut…
I as a norwegian just hoping Hauger gets a chance, but damn…. the market is looking too crowded already
I am not sure about Kimi Antonelli, he haven't really showed his full potential in formula 2 yet. If he still haven't showed it by the end of the season, I do think Frederik Vesti or Mick Schumacher is the better shout for an Williams seat.
Mick is washed. He'll never race in F1 again.
@@bettsdn True about schumacher. But otherwise i agree. Kimi definetely needs a minimum of two seasons in F2
For me is so unreal to see a lot of really talented drivers waiting for so long when there are these other veteran drivers who doesn't perform anymore! We have Drugovich and Lawson who imo are the most well prepared right now to take a seat, or even Pourchaire as well, and all the teams apparently are blindfolded and cannot see them as good choices. We need to see young drivers on the grid to try to spicy a little bit the next seasons.
Drugovich? Don’t think he’s a front runner. I mean Lawson is far better.
@@thesnackbandit I'm not saying here that one is better than another, I'm just saying that there are good options out there for the teams to take a closer look... But yes, for me both drivers are really good and need a chance. Lawson already proved himself and he was pretty good in that Alpha Tauri car, and it's really unfair he is not on the grid this year. So why not give the same opportunity for Drugovich to prove himself either? He won the 22' F2 WDC by a huge margin, with no F1 Academy Team support, in a category dominated only by Prema and Art (untill that year), with a midfield team/car and majority sponsored by his family company. Ok, he won in his 3rd year, but Mick Schumacher did so in his 2nd year and he went straight way to F1 because of his father's surname; Zhou is in F1 right now and he even didn't won an F2 title, he's there only because he has huge sponsors (including his own country) and he didn't achieved a podium yet; Piastri won a bunch of titles as a rookie and even so Alpine put him to wait for so long untill McLaren signed with him... So, I really think F1 and it's teams need to give Drugovich and other promissing drivers a chance. :)
@@Redlingstein where did you see that? Because imo, if it is not in the VCARB or RBR social media or in the F1 social media as well, so it is not confirmed yet. And also I don't trust what Redbull says untill it is public. Sorry mate. :)
I get he had a nice defense last race but I’m dropping Kmag for Bearman ASAP. Same for Danny Ric for Lawson & Logie (unfortunately) for Antonelli
The fact that the f2 champ doesn’t get an f1 seat anymore means we need more teams, shame that Andretti was rejected.
Makes me wonder the worth of team academies at this point. You jump to F1 not because you were the best in the junior series, but because you're affiliated with the right team at the right time. Or you're just plain rich.
If Drugovich never ends up in F1 it's a horrendous look for F1.
When you consider Nasr, Di Grassi, Bruno Senna, Piquet Jr, da Matta, Pizzonia and Bernoldi all made it.
more seats mean nothing unfortunately. if the teams are at the bottom of the championship, they’ll be opting for pay drivers
@@RedlingsteinDrugovich (no academy), Pourchaire (Sauber), and Lawson (Red Bull) all finished ahead of Sargeant in 2022. Do you think he was more deserving of making the jump to F1? He did, again, because he was in the right academy at the right time, not because he was the most promising prospect in junior formula that year. Lawson might get his seat, but he's still waiting, even after his 2023 stand-in performances. Regarding Vesti, two words: Kimi Antonelli. He's Mercedes shiny new toy and is held in higher regard than Vesti.
F2 champ is not necessary always the best talent of the season. For example, Theo Pourchaire won the championship in his 3rd season in F2 and only won 1 race out of 26 in 2023 and that was the 1st race.
If somebody dominates F2 in their 1st that guarantees them a seat, that's why Leclerc, Russell and Piastri are in F1 and not Dragovich and Pourchaire.
What do you think about a relegation zone? Something like the last 4 placed drivers being replaced by new drivers. Or anyone who doesn't score a point gets relegated automatically. This could be built into driver contracts that only last 1 year at a time, that would spice up the transfer market.
How many versions of this video will P1 make this year? I say 4. Now, after big news of some driver change at Silverstone, again during summer break, and again near the end of the season or after the season.
What about victor Martins? He won the f3 championship in 2022 and ended up p5 in f2 last year. Also he is part of the alpine academy where with the current state of that car its likely that atleast one of the two drivers will leave.
Pourchaire is criminally underrated. Off all this 4 pourchaire has the best CV. 3 seasons in F2 yes, but he was 17 in his 1st year and finished p5, p2, p1. Always fast.

F1 needs to be a 24 car grid. We need it to be 2 more teams so we can have a new points system, imo. I would have points up to 12 or 14/15 for a 24 car grid.. Mid field teams that are p12-15 in the race right now are not fighing for points in the CWC, unless they get that amazing HAASTERPLAN and joink a point or two. With more points on the line for mid field, or back of the grid teams we should get more interesting racing, not only at the front ( although 2024 its been a sleeper so far ), but some worthy action at the back, with teams having to race and risk it for some points and young talent can show their skills in F1.
I know its not a perfect solution, but i believe its a start. And i understand that F1 is all about the $$$ and other teams don't want to share what they already get.
If Zhane wins the title the first try it'd be crazy for Sauber to get Pourchair instead. But it's Sauber so they might as well sign Ragunathan
Maloney is not a rookie though. It’s his second season
You guys are underestimating Mick’s ability and backing to get that Williams seat. Merc is still a German company and Mick is the son of their goat, makes for great marketing. Also he probably didn’t get a fair shot in that Haas tractor and should be tested in a half decent car.
Mick got blown out by Magnussen enough said. He’s a WEC driver now
Tbh your guys predictions on these new drivers are always horrible as you thought Arthur Leclerc was gonna be in f1
Don't know about the antonelli call he has to finish high enough to get the super license points which is not that easy for a rookie after skipping F2 in such a competitive grid
Hi Tommy and Matt how big do you guys think the chance might be that Lawson will replace Dani Ric before the end of the season, like how Nick was replaced. I love Dani Ric he comes off as a great guy but he looks like he lost his mojo
Ricciardo is mentally broken by Norris. He only is useful for Marketing
Rumors are, Nico Hulkenberg is looking to go back to Sauber and be the resident German driver at Audi. That means Bearman gets his seat at Haas. I don't care about what scores he'll get but not even mentioning Kush Maini?
Imagine Audi being led by a 38-year-old Hulk.
@@TPH250290I think he would have the role of the experienced older driver to a younger talent.
Hey Matt and Tom, with so many races in the calendar can't the FIA force the teams to use rookies for 2 or 3 races just like they do for Free practices or just give them 2 or three whole weekends instead of just FPs?? It will bring and test at least 20 new drivers every year.
PT 2 plz
I think Lawson in vcarb will make it.
Bearman in Haas is also possible.
Two races in and were already talking about this
One thing I have questioned on, it would really help to make the season. More exciting is if for two of the sprint races, the teams were required to use the reserve driver. I really think that this could help a lot because it would show the young talent and it would show how well they handle the F1 cars. Well also giving them a chance to be seen by all the other teams more. I think it would be a good opportunity, because we already see the rookie Practice sessions I think adding the reserve drivers to two sprint races every year, considering how many we have would be a really good way to make those those exciting
High risk, could severely jeopardize a team’s top driver’s chance for a win when heavy crash in the sprint race occurred.
@@Bramfly oh, absolutely that being said, I wouldn’t mind seeing it to give the younger drivers a chance they’re definitely is a big risk, but it might help
bearman did a good job but we need to see more of him on the grid.
now lawson on the other hand was simply 🔥 in a crapbox of alpha tauri
There are multiple young drivers waiting in the wings - Fred Vesti, Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman, Liam Lawrence, Felipe Drugovitch, Theo Pourchaire.....F1 needs to get rid of some of the current crop - Sargeant & Stroll to start! But even drivers like Bottas & Ricciardo I think are expendable.
I very much agree with much of what was said, the only difference I have is I do think Theo Pourchaire will get a chance in the Sauber in 2025 because I'm not convinced that either Bottas or Zhou will do a good enough job over the course of the season to warrant their places on the grid in 2025. Theo is in their academy and has been loyal to the team where he could've easily have gone to lets say the driver academies at Ferrari or Red Bull. I hope he gets his chance, I don't think he's the best driver but I think he's well placed nonetheless.
So which one of them will get an F1 seat before their super license points expired? (especially the ones who are in the sidelines as reserve driver)
This is why Andretti should come in so we have more teams and therefore more opportunities
Would love to see Ayumu Iwasa get a seat. Watching him win races in his first F2 season, that kids got some serious talent.
The most important thing from this vid: Matt looking hench, those broad shoulders and traps. Is it the t-shirt or he hittin gym?
Tbh if they aren't going to add more teams maybe letting teams have 3 cars instead of 2
I honestly think that Doohan maybe has a chance with Alpine if:
1-Martins doesn't perform this year in F2
2-Gasly or Ocon (or both) leave the team at the end of the year
Very groovy 😎 guys. 0:48
I agree with you. More teams , why wasn't Andretti selected ...
What's crazy is that this year's F3 lineup is crazy good. The driver market from 2026 - 2028 will be wild!
The problem with Theo for me is I'm sorry you won 1 race in your championship winning season...idk I just don't rate that. Bearman won 4x more races than Theo as a rookie in the same season. Maloney in the first event of this year already won more races than Theo did for his whole championship campaign. It just doesn't scream unreal talent to me to have a campaign like that. And before people say let's talk about Lando only winning one race let's remember the field Lando competed in had Russell, Albon, and De Vries. You can't compare that to last year's F2 field for me personally. And Lando wasn't the champion anyway so it's not the same anyway.
I wonder where you see all the seats being open, I don't think SAuber will go with any rpookies, Audi wants to develop the team and you don't do that with rookies that takes 2 seats out. Than I doubt that the Mercedes seat goes to a rookie, that makes 3 seats unavailable. OKay the second Williams seat could be open depending how Seargant does the rest of the year and maybe the Haas seat but thats it
So many young talent blocked right now its crazy
Bearman
Lawson
Pourchaire
Drugovich
Antonelli
Vesti
Even drivers who didnt get a fair shot like Wehrlein and Vandoorne, F1 NEEDS MORE GRID SLOTS, 12 teams 24 drivers, too much of "what couldve been" in F1
ollie bearman's first race was a bit overhyped in my opinion, yes he finished p7 but if mclaren and mercede didnt mess up the strategy that would have been p9, p9 in the second best car and qualifying 11th isn't all that great, yes he is a rookie but he has had time testing f1 cars multiple times simulator and irl. the whole situation kinda reminds me of devries his race for williams in 2022 where he was amazing, and look how that turned out, give ollie some more time say 2026, new rules equal playing ground an then put him in that haas seat
I think realistically there might be a seat at
HAAS: K-Mag out and Bearman in
Alpine: Ocon out and Perez in
Sauber: Zhou out Pourchaire in
Williams: Sergeant out Antonelli in
VCARB: Yuki or Ric to RB and Lawson in
Here’s the other tick about Zane Maloney: he’s a reserve driver for Andretti in Formula E. I’d wager that the FOM/Andretti spat would result in Zane becoming collateral damage. Although, if we’re looking at 2026 or 2028, he could become Andretti’s first pick especially if he wins the F2 championship.
It's sad that a debut thanks to appendicitis of the main driver has more impact than winning the F2 title itself
So as expected, Bearman, Lawson and Antonelli get Magnussen, Ricciardo and Sargeant's drive.
While Pourchaire maybe gets Zhou or Bottas'.
For me the 2025 grid (prediction):
Red Bull: Verstappen, Perez
Ferrari: Leclerc, Hamilton
McLaren: Norris, Piastri
Mercedes: Russel, ALBON
Aston Martin: Alonso, Stroll
Audi: SAINZ, Guanyu Zhou
Alpine: Gasly, Ocon
VCARB: Tsunoda, LAWSON
Williams: BOTTAS, ANTONELLI
HAAS: Hulkenberg, BEARMAN
So some swapping around, but in short:
IN: Lawson, Antonelli, Bearman
OUT: Ricciardo, Magnussen, Sargeant
If Aston Martin finally do decide to kick out stroll though, I think Tsunoda would move to AM and Iwasa would take his place at Vcarb. (Iwasa is in the RB academy and allso backed by Honda, so would make sense in case Tsunoda moves to AM that is allso switching to a honda engine soon.) However I think this won't happen untill 2026.
Alphine?
@@aramomusic Oh, hahaha I knew I was forgetting something, well for Alpine the Line-up will stay the same I think.
Imagine if there were 2 more teams, smaller cars and V10 power units!
🤩🤩🤩 A fan can dream😌
what about fredrik vesti his a macedes resev driver
I too think Jack Doohan has little chance, but if this guy wants to do commentary, he's perfect for the task. I look forward to him chatting it up because he's very informative and asks the right questions to the drivers.
If the alpine guys want out he's easily the best option
What about Vesti?
Do this exercise again for 2026 but under the hypothetical that due to EU competition law F1 has been found to be a cartel because of how they blocked the Andretti entry into the sport. In the same hearing the second Red Bull team is called into question but it is ruled to be competing fairly so the regulation about companies owning more than one team is struck down. Immediately Andretti Cadillac joins the grid while Mercedes and Ferrari both spin up junior teams under the Maybach and Maserati names. Now there are 26 cars on the grid and up to 10 empty seats to fill. What happens?
Let’s be real: Bearman will get a seat bc his dad is uber rich. This is how F1 works now. See: Zhou and Sargent.
More teams!!
They really think Antonelli will end up in F1 next year. Did you see where he finished in the first two races?
As a dane it is a little sad to watch Vesti slowly fade in to the background at mercedes. Would love to see hin alongside antonelli if albon moves somewhere else.
I have a feeling stroll will go to Aston Martins Hyper car program
i hope, lawson for ricarrdo, bearman for magnusen, young kimi for logan, and zghou for pourche for example.
Got to consider the money they can bring to the team. It's not all bout talent. Even when the driver has lesser talent but huge sponsor, their seat is basically secured. Look at Zhou, Stroll, Tsunoda.
How nice would it be if all of them came in + drugovich. lol. But I don’t really think Antonelli must be pushed in too quick.
