Mountain Biking Palo Duro Canyon, TX - Day 1

- Got into Amarillo in time to slip into Palo Duro Canyon for some mountain biking. I'm staying here for two days so tomorrow should be a bigger ride but, I thought I would at least get a shorter ride in today.
The trails and canyon are beautiful. I did a short loop on the Capitol Peak trail and a little bit of the Rio Grande trail. Both were fun and I'm looking forward to tomorrow for sure! My Texas BBQ lunch and a beer were fighting back a little so hopefully tomorrow will be more productive!
I rolled the Ibis Exie on this one just like in Tulsa. No need for the enduro bike at this point and I sure do love riding the Exie as it's such a great bike.

I was there this past spring break. I do regret not taking my bike, but it was a family hiking trip and still awesome. Great video!
For sure! A cool area and it was a great stop on my way to Sedona. Thanks for watching!
Nice ride. Do you know the name and direction of this trail?
These are the Capitol Peak trails. There are a couple of different loops and can be run in either direction from what I've seen. I really liked the Day 2 trails there a little better but, they were all fun just the same! Enjoy and thanks for watching!
@@halffasthugo thanks. These look like a good warm up. I’ll probably ride these on day one. Then take a swing at the Comanche trails on day 2. Awesome MTB roadtrip btw. I just binged your videos 🤟
@@ChenzosWorld I was going to do the Comanche trails but some locals suggested otherwise and said that they're tough to clean. I also didn't want to wear myself out for the next few days of riding! You'll enjoy them though I'm sure!
I could spend a weekend there. :)
You could easily! Great riding and terrain! Loved it and will be back to explore more. I did a 12 miler today and it was a blast.
