Washington State Patrol Academy: 118th Trooper Basic Mega Practicals

The Mega Practicals took place during the last week of Washington State Patrol (WSP) 118th Trooper Basic Training Class. The Trooper Cadets met their Field Training Officers (FTOs) and went through two days and nights of being dispatched to a wide variety of scenes and scenarios. By doing the job of a Trooper in a safe and controlled environment, the Cadets were able to learn what was done well and what needs to be improved. The goal is to better prepare the Cadets as they start their 10-week coaching trips. They will be performing the job with close shadowing of their experienced FTOs.
The 118th Trooper Basic Training Class will graduate March 27, 2024.
