    This is definitely up there as far as Scandi-core goes. On a short list of favorites next to MOB 47, SHITLICKERS, NO SECURITY, TOTALITÄR, BANNLYST, ANTI-CIMEX, DISKONTO... You know the "drill".

      If you don't know Crudity, give them a listen! Guarantee you'll love 'em. Cheers!

      Short list? The list is long if you dig deeper. You forgot Absurd, Discard, Crudity, Moderat Likvidation, D.N.A, Avskum, D.T.A.L, Dom Dar and Disfear (the first ep is amazing). I can go on more. Sweden has a long tradition of churning out amazing hardcore bands.

      Asocial's pretty weak by today's standards, though. Uncurbed, Visions & members' Death Metal projects bring out more of their latent brutality. This has a terrible bass mix to the point I can't even hear a kick -- which ruins the D-beat factor.

      Metal attitude sucks! Better support hardcore if you're a punk!
      Lmao fuck todays standards, go put on your NAILS record and I'll keep listening to bands like this, shit lickers and total armsvett

    I'm on the Asocial bit right now, but I knew of this band before (Whilst researching the origin of the Blast Beat). Always good shit.

    • @histatimaniples
      @histatimaniples Před 10 lety

      origin of the blast beat comes from jazz and The Doors used in the 60s Asocial 1982 demo has no blast beats its just a failed dbeat drum sound with bad recording

      Any 4/4 beat with alternating snare & kick on every note is technically a Blast.

      Buddy Rich was doing blast beats before this, but Asocial are a great band.

      @@deathripp6669 Misquote. Daniel never stated that Asocial was Black Metal + Crust. He mentioned how Black Metal borrowed their dark imagery from religiously-skeptic bands like Asocial, monochrome/DIY aesthetic & lo-fi production -- all from Hardcore. Also the blast beat.
