  • The Ford Bronco comes in all sorts of configurations, but four doors and a manual is how to optimize both fun and practicality. What sort of fuel economy can you expect with that package?

Sure--a gearbox that is slower, used more fuel, and a pain to drive in traffic.....what a pick. The V-6 10 speed is quicker and actually gets BETTER gas mileage than this turd setup.

@@carperdiem8754 It depends.....this is a light duty motor not made to spin large 33 inch tires, it has to work too hard to pull the heavy Bronco as it is with smaller tires.....the fuel economy of the 2.3 and larger 2.7 335 hp unit is the same at 19 mpg highway--in fact the larger 2.7 usually does better because it is less strained. Plus if you get the 7-speed manual it drinks even more gas. If you get the 2.3 you should get the 10-speed auto with more gears the 2.3 will need. Only reason to get the 2.3 with 7-speed manual is low purchase price, but if you are going to live with this truck for 4-6 years, why suffer lousy performance and gas mileage that is no better to save a few bucks? Hmmm I’m curious how this would compare with a manual V6 Wrangler. I don’t doubt this has more low-end torque and a better feeling manual than the Wrangler, but personally I much prefer NA power delivery, especially in the case of an NA V6 vs. a turbo 4 cylinder.

Totally absurd video. Highway speed should be 75 mph, not 70. Also these tires are too big for this engine. The V-6 badlands with same large tires gets 18/19 mpg at 75 mph+. The Bronco Raptor gets 18 at 75 mph. Zero advantage to get the tiny 2.3 engine in a Bronco unless you get smaller tires. That manual gearbox gets worse mileage than the 10--speed too. Cheapskate should have gone with V-6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
