Great interview, been a fan of Toto since the late 90's, and seen the live many times and Luke on his own, he is a phenomenal guitar player, and a great guy!

I enjoy reading the memoirs of various rock stars but of the many books I have read “The Gospel According to Luke” by Steve Lukather is absolutely the best. I spent many parallel years in the music industry and Steve has opened a treasure chest of memories and sprinkled them with emotional diamonds.

I have seen a ton of interviews with Luke. This series might be the most genuine Luke I have ever seen. Thanks for doing this Joe it made my day. I have to get down there to shake your hand.

I wonder does he realize, the way he felt about meeting Paul McCartney, is the way Toto fans feel when we meet Lukather, Paich, Williams, Porcaro...!!

Interesting that Lukather after playing with legends retains enough humility, as someone mentioned just one more fan like us, and still is amazed by the people he meets, makes me respect Lukather even more

Had to go back and listen to "Human Nature" to pick apart Steve's guitar in the background. It's there - subtle but brilliant and it does make the song a little more soulful.

When the musicians of the 60s and 70s, pass on threw to the other side, music made the way it was for so long will be gone and computers and won't be able to fill that human void. iT will then be over.

Can someone tell me what the word is when he refers to toto’s members in the MJ’record (‘...many people didn’t like us...’) and the Jimmy Page’s story? ‘STUDENT musicians’ or ‘CITY musicians’ or something else? The one JP refers to him and John Paul Jones too. I can’t understand the word he’s using so i miss the point

"studio" musician. Like a session player, who's not officially part of the band, just a hired hand to play parts.

John Cawley John Cawley thank you John, i wasn’t able to understand the exact word due to Steve’s talking accent but in some way ‘session musician’ was the only meaning it’d possibly have been. Thank you
