I Remember going with my grandparents and catching big carp on wheaties mixed with the drink Big Red. Man that was fun. Being a young kid and catching those big fish.

Great video, I never understood people not liking certain fish. I don’t care what I’m catching as long as I’m catching fish. Another very under rated fish is the Bowfin, people hate them, however they usually fight great. I guess I just enjoy catching fish. Yes, I don’t even mind catching channel cats. Probably because I need to travel 600 miles to catch blues and flatheads.
same here man. I also feel like the farther you are away from blues and flatties, the bigger the channels tend to be. Hoping for a 20ib channel today on the Ottawa river!
@@WilliamWallis597 Here is S. Florida not even the Channels get big but at least we have them. I'm not complaining, I have plenty of other fish to catch down here. My biggest Channel down here was 16 inches, nothing o brag about. Hopefully I can get 600 miles north to Lake Seminole again soon, last time I was there we caught some nice Blues.

Very first video I ever watched of yours was when I was learning how to catch carp and I couldn’t stop laughing at the catfish you caught and said you was gonna drop kick it because it sat at your feet after you unhooked it 😂 since then I’ve watched every video of yours and damn near everything in the past. Carp are so disrespected in my area bc everyone wants their “game fish” yet their biggest game fish hasn’t put up half the fight of my smallest carp lol. To catch small carp use your ultralight setup with gulp. But put 2-3 kernels of corn on the jig. Need to hold rod and set hook on nibble. Worked for me last year.

I may have to try Carp fishing … another big fish in my area.
I’m still on my high after catching that unexpected huge Northern Pike. I only use 15 pound mono for channels because here in Connecticut, there are no Ftalheads or Blues. Still cannot believe I caught, fought, and landed it without it breaking the line. I honestly do not know what the Pike fishermen up here use for leaders.
Anyways, great video!! I like variety here and there.

In europe we use a bigger hook , but we have bigger carp ;-) We have lots of 20 pounders
Carpfisshing is a great sport, This is a primitive way to fish carp like you do, but it is effective

Carp have to be one of the hardest pulling fish. We had a pond full of them growing up. Tommy toe tomatoes were the goto bait.
:) If I remember right, the first fish I ever caught was a carp of between 4-6 lbs. I would have been 6-7 years old.

If you cant see where the carp is swimming , you could use fluo yellow line ....its just a tip . Pitty there no mirrorcarp swimming over there . If I would live in youre neighborhood I would take you on a carp trip and learn you how to fish carp properly ;-)

Well, it was good to see you go after another type of Fish Justin. Sorry to say I always hated catching carp. Hey its my opinion and others might like to fish for them and that's cool, I like Bass, Walleye and Pike and Crappie. But I do love the size Cats you haul in Justin, I would love to hook into one of them just once. Now the main topic is your race with the Dog. I do not think we will ever see you beat her Justin unless you hop on a dirt bike maybe a 250. Then maybe just maybe you will come in on top. Man I love carp my dad had some bait sent thing for corn and I used it last year and chummed the river with it and got bites, but only ever landed one cause they would always get thick into the stupid lily pads
I always wondered about the fake corn bits, you were the first person i seent using pink so i got some tested it a bit and idk if it makes a difference but i do feel like my hook up ratio has been more steady with one pink one yellow rather than staggered on just 2 yellow 🤷🏼♂️

Had to stop the video that one got some awesome colors. If bass looked that good and that big, bass fishermen would be poorer than they are already. Getting them mounted cause you know anything over 5 or 6 pounds is going on the wall. I mean the pro's talk about a 5 fish limit over 20 pounds being a good day. If you caught 5 carp and don't get 35 to 40 pounds you only had a so so day. Love me some carp fishing.
