Dude, why do u make such short videos? I mean you've got excellent art work & subject matter but it feels like you're being totally lazy when speaking about such important deities of ancient mythology. You should be able to have enough material to make a 10+ min video & it frustrates me because it seems like click bate (just to get yourself more views). I don't mean to sound harsh because I do enjoy your channel. I just want more (Ie longer video with more in depth story telling) like you've done with many other subjects like Order of Knights & Caesar etc. I love ancient Egypt. Thx for tease. LoL

Set was overall greatly feared. But he was also worshipped. Indeed he helped Ra defend the world against Apep (Apophis). But he was also a friend of the dead. He guided and protected the dead on their journey to the Halls of Ma'at. Where the heart will be weighed against the feather of Ma'at. So he was mostly feared but in a way also worshipped.
So hes a evil God for justice and truth? Hes a ( good/evil) as a God? 🤔. (A Righteous good EVIL).
I thought Anubis was the protector of the dead. Are they both protectors?

Osiris like his Greek equivalent Erebus is God of the Underworld. Not Seth! Anubis like his Greek equivalent Hades takes Osiris's place... Anubis is not a god of the Dead but only the god of embalming..or preparing the Dead to be ready for Osiris.
Isis is the egyptian equivalent to Nyx. And her sister Nephthys is the equivalent of Hera. Horus being Hypnos....see the pattern yet?
Apophis/Apep is the equivalent of the Ouroboros

@@benjenkins5949 Set represents the natural chaos of the world, storms and everything outside Egypt. Set's head is an extinct or mythical fox. Not a goat or ram head. Back in those times goats did not represent evil but fertility and harvest season.
The Satan of Egyptian mythology is Apep.

Wonder why if SET and apep are both chaos and vile then SET actually helps RA. 🤔. Isn't helping RA the same as if he ever helped Osiris or Horus? Shouldn't SET and apep join forces of being the most corrupt and evil?
@@mistylover2082 no after losing the battle against Horus. Ra adopts Seth and now Seth defends earth from being attacked from apep. Seth now spends his rest of the life in Ra's boat defending earth

Then Isis used trickery and magic to force Ra to abdicate the throne to Osiris, which Set resented as he was loyal to Ra. It gave Set grounds to claim the reign of Osiris illegitimate.

the character of Seth always felt out of place in Genesis and now hearing that the Hyksos worshipped Seth makes so much more sense as to why he was included. They redeemed their local lord and even gave him descendants.

Different names for the same entity.
I think Apophis is the Greek name and Apep is the Egyptian name similar to how Osiris is the Greek name and Ausar is the Egyptian name.
