what does Blue Rondo a la Turk mean? Could anyone who knows tell me?
"Rondo" is a style of music. "Blue" I guess comes from the bluesy scales. "A la Turk" I think has something to do with the odd time signature (9/8).

It's a rhytm an old turkish dtreetmusician described to Brubeck as the Turkish equivalent of blues
