I post all of the music I make, including WAV stems; sample packs; Dirtywave M8 song bundles; collections of video textures; early access to videos; and a whole pile of other stuff on Patreon. I know I know, I hate doing this as well, but if you like what I do and want to get more of it, while also helping me offset some of my ludicrous gear purchases, this is the best place to do it:

If you just want individual sample packs or downloads of video footage to use in your own projects, get them on Gumroad here: gumroad.com/allmyfriends
If you're in the market for new gear, my favourite place to find new and interesting synthesizers and other electronic music gear is Signal Sounds. They are based in Glasgow, but ship all over the place and often have stuff nobody else does. Find them at www.signalsounds.com/

Always a joy to watch and listen. Wonderful sounds and tuneage Sir!
Thanks a lot!
Always inspiring to see the the mindset you bring to producing :)
My mindset of 'acht feck it'. Ha.
I have the Squarp Hapax, so can never really justify the OXI One. Doesn't stop me desiring one every time I see it.
And then there is the torso -1, seems nice too
Amen. I wouldn't recommend getting the Oxi One if you have the Hapax, but there are some interesting differences between the two. It's cool to have the option!
Glad to see the S6000 make an appearance! Mine is my rock - despite me needing (not really but any excuse tbh) to buy an old powermac to run Ak.sys - I just love the multiple outs and huge number of voices etc. A sampling behemoth
Hell yeah. I love it! One day maybe I should buy a Powermac as well...
That was fun! I am considering an OXI One as well, always looking for fun ways to sequence gear. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Yeah, that OB-6 with the Otto is gorgeous 👍
Thank you!
no cameras fell and/or were hurt in the making of this video. neither were my ears and they both enjoyed the finale. Carry on.
Nice. I've been super curious about that OXI One lately.
It's a cool thing!
Nice, 'punch in the guts' drum sound. 😎
My favourite kind!
The oxi one is badass would love one iv been using the novation circuit rhythm to sequence external gear it works pretty well but the oxi one is looks alot better .. used to see alot of people using the keystep pro but they are all using the oxi now ..I use a multi track and record one track at a time usually start with the drums then all keep layering and mix it down at the end ..
Smoother than a cashmere codpiece 👍
Haha what a great phrase.
Oxi is a crazy cool looking sequencer a lil pricey but i think its worth the admission
Yeah, it definitely packs more of a punch than is immediately obvious.
could you, please, make a vid about using oxi one as a norns grid?
Ohhh I'll need to check that out!!
If you could keep just one of the Oxi or the Hapax, which would it be?
That's a difficult question. They both have awesome features. The OXI is more portable, battery powered, and really fun to use. The Hapax is larger, and more fully featured in terms of the tracks/IO etc. I'd honestly find it pretty difficult to choose between them.
Been trying to get to get my hands on this elusive piece of gear . I can’t find it not ONE place either new OR used right now. It’s on back order and is only available for preorder. The new version will be worth the wait though . I love the 128 step sequencer and the fact that it looks like it behaves very similar to the Synthstrom deluge workflow and thats my favorite sequencer of ALL time .
It looks like they just went on back-order recently! What's the new one of which you speak?!
So you get finally the oxi, what are your thoughts in comparison to the loved torso-t1? Great work as always by the way🔥
Thanks! It's quite a different experience. Much more 'deliberate' with the Grid. The T1 feels more like a serendipitous machine. Both are cool, but it depends what you're after I guess.
Hi Stephen
What are these devices I have been looking for them for how they look and I want to learn more and maybe buy some . Can't figure out anything.
I am an audiophile and love audio equipment. Thank you
Hey - what kind of devices are you meaning?
Is there much cross-over between the Oxi One and Polyend Play, in terms of sequencer features?
A wee bit, but only because of the grid. The Oxi is far more powerful. :)
Out of interest, was there a reason for not using the onboard FX on the Virus instead of the Space Echo?
I hadn't used the Space Echo much recently!
Curious... I have the hapx like yourself, im wondering why you have turned to the ox1?
They both cover very similar ground, and if you have a Hapax already, then I wouldn't recommend the Oxi One. I am just a fool and love sequencers. The Oxi is smaller, has battery power, and more CV/gate pairs though, whereas the Hapax has full sized MIDI DIN connections, and some different features.
Stephen, do you know anyone in Scotland who can do deep repairs on a Virus?
Hmm I'm not sure. I've been using Fretronics in Glasgow for repairs, but it depends what the problem is!
I'm triggered by that clear cover still on the VU meter of the AutoBoom!
Bwahhahaha
Glasgow mate?
indeed
What happened to the Hapax 😊
Still using it!
@@StephenMcLeod any verdict?
yez
yeeez
I've never seen the Akai S6000
It's a beautiful thing!
Midronome site says "Sorry you're too late - stock is gone!
Next batch is expected around Summer 2024 (no promises!)"
Hopefully more to come.
Is that a soju bottle I see? 🤤😏
Well spotted!
@@StephenMcLeod 파이팅!!!
A cheap way to get rock solid midi is to use an Atari ST
True, though that doesn't help if you want to record to DAW sadly.
Aw, I thought I'd the first commenter.
Next time!!
Oxi one is junk.
Why do you think so?
I don't agree
Please can you explain to us in detail why it's "junk?"
