  • Take a quiet early morning stroll with me along Worthing's fabulous pier. Worthing is on the south coast in West Sussex, England. The is one of many that jut out into the seas around England, popular with visitors.
    I filmed this with the Osmo Dji camera and stabilizer.

      Because we love it. I live 4 minutes walk from the pier, and I'll take a quick stroll round it almost every day just to clear my head and relax.

      Thanks Adam. I am not sure how to eliminate the bobbing as I walk. It's not my camera, but I am testing out for a friend for some use on Bald Explorer stuff. Thanks for feedback though. I appreciate it.

      I don't think you can, outside of walking more slowly or fixing it in post (which rarely looks good). I'm impressed by this, knowing that you'd only use this for short, transitional shots - not long takes like this one. I still want one. :-)

    Hoards of people there yesterday 1pm. Not sure I would be able to get up that early, and stay awake.

      Worthing Pier is a delight, whether busy or quiet. I love the early morning strolls over the boards.

    6.45am looks like the perfect time to visit the pier - what a fantastic and relaxing stroll - I really like the lower part at the head of the pier - I assume that’s just for fishermen really?

      It's where the old paddle steamers used to moor.

    • @RichardVobes
      @RichardVobes  Před 7 lety

      Robert Reed Yes a simple little video. To get to France you need to pass through the new wind farm they have built which is a bit of an eye sore!

    Worthing Pier is a little gem - and quite unique!
    Not very far along - E towards Brighton - is where Oscar Wilde spent a scandalous summer at the seaside in the 1890s, whilst writing ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’.
    Perhaps worth a video?

      For the price of the Osmo, compared to the big rigs, I thought the footage was pretty good! Much better than without. Also this was a very long, single shot. This would work great for short transitions. I want one!
