- Making a surfboard template from an online download. This template was downloaded from BlendingCurves.com but I have also used templates from GreenLightSurfSupply.com. These template pages can be traced directly onto the surfboard blank or used to make a permanent hardboard template. My templates are made from 1/8” thick masonite wood which can be purchased in sheets at any local hardware store. Just ask to have them cut into 1' x 8' pieces.

Your videos are awesome for first time shapers
Glad to hear it!
keep going bro niiice work 😎🤙🏾🤙🏾
Thanks man!
It looks like, surfboard DIY is very easy!!!!!!
Give it a go man!
Awesome vid man, could you do a vid about your shaping bay or talk me through your setup?
Thanks man! I’ll think about doing a video on it. It’s a green room I bought on Amazon for a little over $100 and set it up in my garage. Then I made my own side lights from wood and lighting at Home Depot. Shaping racks are anchored in buckets with cement. Check out this link for some good detailed ideas you can follow: greenlightsurfsupply.com/pages/greenlight-surfboard-building-guide-a-z Good luck!
Dude! Couldn't have done it better myself.
Thanks man! Your website and templates are an amazing resource
Downloaded dozens of templates and NONE lined up correctly glad to see it's actually possible to use them
Yes they can be tricky to line up perfectly
Hey Charlie...shoot me an email or contact me through the website. Happy to help you figure out what the problem is.
hello, with a foam of 7.10 what tables of measurements can be made so as not to lose the rocket
Hey man! Did you use A4 size sheets of paper, and did you enlarge them at all or just used the original size from the website?
Just standard size paper (8.5 x 11) and just make sure when you print it’s at 100% with no scaling so it’s not resized.
Cool man! But i was asking myself which blanked you you use for this template?
This is a blending curves retro 6’ single fin template.
I'm having a hard time finding thick dark pencils. Do you know what number the pencil is that you used to trace the outline on to the blank is and where did you buy it? Thanks.
Just a Home Depot brand pencil. Probably most hardware stores have them.
@@BendheimBoards Ok, thanks. Last time I was there they didn't have any. If you're in San Diego would you be interested in renting your shaping room for a day? (I live in Carlsbad.) I have my own tools and of course I would thoroughly clean up before leaving. If not your place can you recommend a place that wouldn't cost too much? I'm slow so I'll probably need a full day.
I’m in Orange County. Not sure about places down where you are but up here you can rent the Foam EZ shaping bay for $10/hr
Hi brother i just starting to shape but i printed out a couple of templates from blending curves of 6' and 6'4" but all of them came out smallers , my paper is 8x10, i dont find out any information in the website about what size of paper i have to used or what is the problem. I dont know can you help me,?
Use standard 8.5 x 11 paper and make sure the print setting is at no scale or that scale is set to 100% so that it doesn’t alter the size. Hope that helps!
Can anyone share an evolutive or malibu board template?
Is there a certain layout to print it? I print a 9-3 template but when I was done with the process it came out to be 8 foot. It was from BlendingCurves
I used blending curves as well. Make sure you have your printer setting at “no scale” or 100% scale so it doesn’t shrink the size.
@@BendheimBoards Thank you man I will give it a shot
Hey man, where do you get your online templates? Any tips to have new ones? Thanks!
You can get great free templates at: www.blendingcurves.com/
I was just gonna ask if that was blending curves. Awesome work man. I'm super grateful you have shared this information 🤙🏼
👍🏻
Hey man i went onto the blending curves website and printed out the fish a 5'4 size but it came out to be six foot on my blank any reason why this might happen?
Make sure your printer settings are 100% or full scale
Where can I find the template?
Blendingcurves.com
@@BendheimBoards thanks heaps for the reply brother
