This character means so much to me after years of suffering with my mental health depression and just losing love I just relate to her and I understand why she did what she did I feel like I'm in the place now and it's a comfort watching that on screen knowing that you can come out at the other side after the darkness
I completely understand! After what is happening to me and my country this year, Wanda has become a very important character for me. Sometimes a reflection of what I feel.
Not gonna lie... I just feel... a bit mad, I guess? when they make her the antagonist in Doctor Strange...
I sort of understand Wanda. What she felt and lost can turn a person into a villain
I didn't mind that they made her the antagonist for Doctor Strange as she is a great character, with a depth of pain, brilliantly portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen. My only niggle was that her turn to the darkside seemed to happen off screen somewhere between Wandavision and MOM so it was at odds with the journey we had seen her go on in Wandavision. I would have loved to have seen the progression of her becoming entangled with the darkhold instead of just having to fill the gaps with my imagination - that would have been even better imo to see her descent into darkness as her powers grew, struggling against her own morality and the sway of the book.
I don't mad that she was the antagonist. But what I hated is how they rushed her. She was gonna be the big bad in Avengers 5 just like in Avengers Disassembled, but Michael Waldron rushed.
I believe that it was more so the corruption of the dark hold itself and cthon which makes more sense as she clearly shows regret in some scenes or a sense of not wanting to do the things she's feels she has to do, and just wants to see her kids and her husband again in an alternate reality she figures out genuinely exist.. 🤔
I'd say why not wait for the girl to learn her powers and ask her kindly but again, the darkhold likely corrupted her mental state and all that..

I don’t hate her being the villain, but by the end of Wandavision she’d realized and was upset with how much trouble she caused the people of Westview, that I wish they hadn’t just jumped her straight to villain status. She’d learned from her grieving process with Vision just how much she could hurt people. Also, I wanted White Vision to sweep in and help. Really, I just want more Wanda anything though. 😅 Excellent video!
Like I get her wanting to bring Billy and Tommy back, I just wanted her to learn more from westview and take longer going there.
Agreed, she does make a good villain, but it almost feels like there is a story missing in-between Wandavision and MOM where we could have explored Wanda's struggle between what she had learned from Westview and the power of the Darkhold over her. That would have been an interesting watch and made the leap from hero to villain more acceptable. Also an excuse to watch more Wanda - she's my favourite too, she is so layered.
This is beautiful! I love her so much, by the time Wandavision went out she was by far my favourite Marvel character, and you portraited her grief and story so well.
I was kind of disappointed by how they treated her character in Multiverse of Madness, it's just my opinion but I think her shift from hero to complete villain felt forced.
I'm not 100% against heroes turning evil in general, I actually really like it sometimes (Jinx's arc in Arcane is pretty awesome in that) but in this case it seemed too rushed.

after all the horrible experiences Wanda went through, it would be strange if she didn't use it to bring back those loved ones
She lost so many important people in her life, and that's why she is my favorite female character in the Mcu universe, no matter what she keeps moving and moving forward.
