in the interview at 4:00 armie himself summarised the film making experience, NOT the film synopsis/plot, but the process of all of them making this film together as an "emotionally charged experience" etc etc. perhaps the salient thing that both timothée and armie mentioned repeatedly is how "they lived the movie, whatever that's seen in the film we experienced it for real", basically to assure the audience and themselves that both of them did experience a genuine connection that evolved into a relationship that's special to both of them. and this is something they embrace and treasure greatly. in the context of the film, it's natural for us to assume some romantic undertones between them, but whatever nature their bond took, it can't be more clear that both of them do still share a deep connection and mutual admiration and i think that's beautiful.

When I first saw this movie, the feelings they convey on screen (the genuine feeling of first love, the shyness, the embarrassment, the lust, the visceral pain of simply experiencing what it is like to want to crawl inside another's skin) were so real for me it took me back to those first expressions of love myself! Truly great movie...beautiful, sweet, wise, and heartbreaking. Don't miss the last long scene while the credits roll...Timothee expresses about a dozen shifting emotions in this single scene.
I REALLY did not plan on watching this whole video but these two are just so captivating I couldn’t leave. Their chemistry in the movie and in real life is incredible.

This movie shot me straight back to my adolescent exploration of love. After seeing it I went through days of processing old, deep-set emotions I pushed away at the time to not feel so much pain. It gave me a gift of cathartic processing. I’ve fallen in love with both of them and I’m so grateful for this film.
I pray Armie recovers and comes back to us soon. I love this actor, and we all get mental issues some times. I'm a Vietnam vet and I get a little squirrelly sometimes.

It is true, I felt the same, apart from all the romance, slow paced peaceful atmosphere, what I treasured seeing the movie was how young, free Armie acting as Oliver looked. He really looked as if he is 24.

Regardless of any shipping ... I really don't think they are in love (in the sexual/romantic sense) ... but it is evident that they love each other a LOT. In my opinion Armie sees Timmy as his ''little and fragile'' friend, towards whom he has a kind of protective instinct. Timmy perceives this and has consequently developed a great affection towards Armie (honestly ... who wouldn't develop a love towards someone who loves and protects you?)

See I can't speak for all French people buy I can speak for myself I grew up in hong Kong going to an international schools with most of my friends being French and or Asian. There have been many a time when I've spoken Cantonese to my Chinese friends and they've corrected me to laughingly show off. There have been many a time when I've done the same. This is just something that happens when your in a competitive environment with multilingual kids, we compete with each other but we also learn from each other. Don't go accusing people of things without knowing them. Also one of my best friends is Vietnamese and he talks shit about people in Vietnamese whenever they ask him to say their name in Vietnamese or whatever, but it's always in jest, do I hate him for it? No. Do I do the same thing? Yes. Does everyone who speaks an uncommon language in do it? Yes. And do we all laugh about it and never take the joke to far? Yes.

I found tidbits on Reddit, Disqus and other places. He dropped his current projects in order to be around his children to protect them from the rumors. And when he entered rehab for his drinking and drug use, he was accompanied by his ex-wife and children.

The fates were smiling when Armie Hammer (sigh) and Timothee Chalamet (another sigh) were paired to play the much loved Oliver and Elio. Having seen the movie several times, I can say that I could never imagine any other actors in these beautifully acted roles. Kudos to all involved in this bittersweet, heartful movie. I just wish it had ended the way I wanted it to end.😥 Read the book, see the movie.
If nothing else, this movie will make you want to spend time in Italy in the richness of summer, which I have been fortunate to do, and would gladly do again.
