Great review mate. I like how you naturally get all the bike spec out in such a natural way. Looking forward to the comparison 👏🏻
Greetings from Sydney down under. Great review Mr Chops! Love it. Cannot wait for the new Triumph Speed Triple review as well.
Top notch stuff LCR the bike looks fantastic. Beautiful stunning Aprilia colours! Ofcourse the sound is captured by you every time!
Thanks Chopsy👍. It really does look and sounds like it's older sibling and I can see this bike being a future classic!
Thank you for all the great videos. Im always so exited every time I get my notification that you uploaded something.
Smashing review chops! and a great middle weight bike it seems :-)))
Congrats on being one of the very first people to be able to test-ride the new Appies, Chopsy. :) Speaking of the bike, I like the overall design and especially the color scheme on this 660 Tuono (probably a tad more than the RS660 even). I still can't decide if I like the new design of the front mask, though. It does look much more modern but whenever I see it, I think an ant's head (or praying mantis's). I can't help it. :D
Still, I am interested to see how the RS660 compares to this. Looking forward to you next vlog.
Yes Chops! Been waiting with interest for this one 👍
Great review, Chopsy! Cheers for the ride along.
Aprilia does have my brand loyalty. Started on a 2stoke rs125. Stepped up to a restricted dorsoduro 750 and riding a tuono 1100 at the moment. Thanks for the review Chops!
@@gymmaxxedpokemonmaster Never had any issues with my bikes. An Aprilia specialist keeps all my bikes in check.
@@frankeichhorn7979 whilst I don't knock what you're saying, the servicing costs are surely double what they'd be on a jap bike for example?? So whilst your are getting it looked after, it behaved, but at a hefty inflated price.
I fancy an 1100 Tuono myself, but I want at least a 2017 (but not new 21 model, they're hideous looking things) but I cannot justify their price point right now. I'm 2 weeks away from getting married. Just bought my first house. Off on honeymoon 2 days after our wedding, got a family holiday booked for next year and wanting to book Disney World for 2023. So I'm having to be sensible with my money. And for that price it has to be a gsxs1000f for now. Whilst my loins don't lust for it, it just makes sense and is a "nice" reliable bike.
I'll get my v4 1100 tuono 2017 in 2024 perhaps and find a low miler.
I haven't road for 12 years. My last ride was an original RSV mille.
Before that I had an sv650 as my first bike, followed by a 599 ninja.
So I guess the gsxs will be a nice shoehorn back into biking.
What a great bike. Looking forward to the comparison videos. Lovely day for a ride.
Nice video chops, love the look of the Tuono sounds good to 👍
Nice review mate, I enjoy yours and Teapotones style as you both ride as I do and are not hung up on brand and image
Great video chops I love the bike may get one next year excellent review thanks from danny
Cracking review Chops 👏🏻👏🏻. Aprilia launching some really nice and well placed bikes into the market. I have to admit before i actually bought my RSV4 i was always a little sceptical of the Aprilia brand but after owning it for a year and half im absolutely sold on it. Only one major floor in the Aprilia brand just a lack of dealerships if they could sort that out I’m sure they’d sell many more bikes!!
Got mine preordered, can’t wait till it arrives in Florida
Whay a lucky day for you : beautiful motorbike .....and beautiful sunny day. Just missing some twisty roads...Come with me next time.
Nice video, grate !
What a belter.... really top review, Chops. 👍👍👍
Brilliant video Chops as ever! 🙂
Nice one Chopsy...first review I've seen for this, thanks.
Great video, glad the bike isn’t disappointing
Enjoyed that thanks. Looks like it is a great bike.
Thank you for giving insight on this bike! I am as tall as you and i believe i will just go for the RS 660 instead!
Great review! Keep up the great videos!
Great video chops, sounds lovely 👌👌 Aprilia have had a middle weight bike before, the 750 Shiver, but no where as nice as that 660 tuono 👍👍
Great stuff Chops.
Nice bike! Great premiere
I've been excited for this chops 😁😁😁
I look forward to your videos coming out. Cheers me right up 👍
Lack of fuel gauge has been the reason I've never owned an Aprilia or Ducati. About bloody time 😃
Well that’s my lunch time viewing sorted !! Really really looking forward to this one , don’t ruin my hopes choppsie !! TELL ME ITS AWESOME !! 🙏😉
Bring on the RS and a post ‘run in’ comparison......hold that sunshine too.
Looks and sounds good but the sprint/street triple was a telling distraction 😉
Great video, many thanks.
Great review! This is my first time watching and I'm already a fan of your channel. Subscribe button has been smashed, cheers mate!
great review !!! very informative
Hi Chopsy…I’m laughing at you with the high beam…I picked up my new RS660 on Saturday and I keep putting the high beam on too 🤣🤣
OUTSTANDING bikes 😍
Looks and sounds great. 👍
Looking forward to your review of the new Speed Triple RS when you get your hands on one.
great review chopsy
nice review man sweet bike i don't fancy the leg position for me being tall but it is a lovely bike. Roll on the good weather. An extra 500 quid for the RS is a no brainer.
had to comment your riding all my favourite Hampshire roads!
Brilliant review Chopsy. Looking forward to the RS review and comparison. I think the RS will be my choice for the perfect road bike personally but we’ll see. Keep up the good work 👍
Nice vid Mr chops!!!
Great vid, will be good to see you getting to ride it some more once you can get those rpms up 👍
fantastic looking bike mr chops 😊
Great looking swingarm , as usual from Aprilia
Tested it today in Paris and loved it. Tested the Triumph Speed Triple this morning too and found it too rigid. Have to chose between the Tuono and the Street Triple. I have a feeling that the Tuono might just be my new bike😂
Greatreview as always, looking forward to the comparison with the street triple 765r, i have an 18 model and love it. Ridings position looks very similar and the brakes look the same M4. I will be very interested in your opinion, cheers from Australia.
Can't wait to see the rs660
Great vid chops and that country view wow
Plus them knox gloves you was wearing look a decent pair of gloves
Thanks chops all the best to you 👍👍
Thanks Michael, yeah gloves are brilliant winter gloves. ZEROs I believe, link to them in the description 👍
Great video. Is this a first? I can’t recall seeing any other 660 Tuono ride videos. Awesome for a first big bike 👍🏽
Around 24:14 whilst you are on the motorway, a BMW 4 series grancoupe in Estoril blue passes on the right. I had that car in the 2018 440i GC in the same colour. Lovely, responsive motorcar.
It’s high time we had some nicer middle weight nakeds. I really don’t want 1000cc on the road. This is great.
Agreed . I had two Honda 600Rs in the 90s and they were as quick as my 1982 GPZ1100 B2 and a lot quicker through the twisties.
Been waiting for this. Yourself and TMF are my go to "real person" reviewers.
Fantastic news TMF won't complain about not fuel gage! Nice work sir! 💪
After 5 mins I realized that the speed is in MPH not KPH 🤣 good vid bro, drive safe
Thanks for a great review John. A nice bike but I admit I'm a litre tart, which means I would keep looking at it wishing I had it's bigger brother.
Very instructive test ride of the Tuono 660; thanks. For my money I’d take the slightly pricier RS 660 with the added goodies as the described riding position (the main difference and marketing play) isn’t that different from the comfortable RS. And the point Chopsy makes about diminishing returns on litre-plus power houses in our camera- infested country can’t be ignored, even if the temptation is there to mount the larger Aprilias. Looking forward to the comparison.
Nice one Chops glad too hear you like the bike, I am considering buying one rode the great looking purple rs660 a few months ago and loved the engine but the seating position is still very sportive so I rather go with the upride position of the tuono instead. Thanks for making these great reviews so early 👌🏻
Chopsy well done on getting the ride and for posting. You mention the Trident a few times but it’s about £3000 cheaper than the Tuono, wouldn’t a Street Triple R be a better comparison or 890 Duke? Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Great job. 👍 Aprilia should have stepped up and had you at the launch!
great vid by the way .
As an older member of the biking fraternity I was gobsmacked at the amount of rider aids, what next heart and blood pressure moniters to see how much exitement you handle ! Lovely machine can't wait for the next one.
A nice bike! Great video. Looking forward to the comparisons!
Great review again, for the extra £500 I think the RS660 for me...
Great review! Any plans to review the new Tuono 660 Factory? Would be great to see how it compares.
What! Cruise control on a mid size bike, Ducati I hope you are looking and put cruise on the Streetfighter on a next update🙄. Looks a great little bike that chopsy . 👍
Great review Chops cheers. Any particular reason for that middle buckle not beeing done up mate??
Chops, you are too good
good review chops should have done the 272 between Petsworth to Billingshurst
That countryside is beautiful.
Nice job Chops! I wanna ride this bike. Not a fan of the red wheels though.
CC is a deal maker for me; if Street RS would only update to CC! Touno 660 is a great effort by Aprilia, they deserve credit for investment in mid-weight seriousness. Thank you Chopsy from the US.
Parallel twins have come a long way, my last one was a GPZ 500 !!
Nice review! Every specs sheet I've seen is saying that the Tuono 660 has 183 kg wet, not 194 like You have told in the review. I think it was also important to say that it is possible to buy the IMU as accessory. Still, I am waiting for the comparison with Street Triple!
Great review, Lamb Chop when you will review new MT-09 2021 ?
This must be the world exclusive first review 👍🙏❤️ please review the Triumph Speed Triple RS 🏍️🎃😀
There are plenty of reviews 3 weeks old!
Nothing against this video... but by now is just “ another “ one...
This bike is amazing but lets hope 2 years from now the forums won't be filled with horror stories about leaks and electronic failures like duke 790. great review as always
Good first look video Lamb Chop
Nice review, chops!
Hi just been on CZcams do you know there's someone using your video of zh2 there called bike life just in case you didn't cheers ,love ya vids Lamb chop 👍
I thought it was a video about a naked bike, but it turns out it's about a fully faired sport bike with handlebars.
You can have quickshifter, autoblipper and 6 axis imu (cornering abs and lights and the lot) as optional for around 500€ in Italy
Glad you mentioned wet weight of the trident chops, lol weighed my street rs today came in at 177kgs wet so thats pleased me a little 👌🏻
@@LambChopRides aye, I don’t actually know what a full standard wet one weighs and tbf I’m not bothered but loads have asked me the question, only ten miles in so don’t know the full effect of the bst’s yet
Sounds sumptuous! And the bike sounds pretty good too! :-)
Interaction with police car was a bit Pythonesque! Loved it. Does seem weird that they don't have auto-blip or IMU on an Aprilia. After listening to several U.S. and Brit reviews of The RS and yours is the first, excellent btw of The Tuono, I'm sure it's awesome, but I'm not impressed. Can't imagine that I'd have any less fun on a MT or Trident at thousands less.
Looking forward to you guys getting your mitts on The New Monster.
Top vid as per usual choppy.. any news on v4 tuono.. also on your chin mt cam.. what settings u shoot in..
Amazing
Great video chops!
Do both the tuono and rs weigh 184 kg? How have they managed to make the tuono as heavy as the rs 660 considering it is missing some equipment + the fairings.
Any chance you could weigh both of them and settle this?
need a comparison between this and the 890 duke R
I'd get the RS660 for the bigger windscreen and fairing. Still, the Tuono looks like a fantastic do it all bike.
Hi Chops any plans to do a follow up to cover the Tuono 660 Factory
Great Review Lamb Chop. I'm looking into getting back onto a bike after 25 years. Used to ride a Ducati Pantah. The Tuono looks like it provides a more forgiving riding position (than the RS) and considering that I'll be 60 soon would be a good choice. I'm 175cm (6'9") and 72kg (11 stone 4lb), smaller that you (who isn't ha ha) and I'm wondering if it would be a good fit for my body type long term. Comments from others also most welcome. Cheers.
Great vid, thanks. How would you compare this to the current Street Triple RS, price not considered? I am on the fence on which one to buy. Comfort (Riding position and Seat)/Exhaust Note (Loudness)/Handling in real world, not track. BTW, cant wait for your comparison vid with the RS 660!
I would be intrigued to hear Mavis's view point, cheers.
Preload and rebound damping should be easily accessible imho. Can’t see it impressing Dave Moss, lol.
That rear 360 camera makes the bike look like its got a massive rear shock adjustor under the seat 😂
Sounds great even through a microphone. Nice looker, is there a real market for lower powered bikes,
Nice first bike for a new rider that, wish they had bikes like this when I passed my test many moons ago !!!.👍🇬🇧
Hi. First bike??? It is a street bike! How many horse power you think you need on open roads or even better, what percentage of a more powerful bike can you use on open roads?
One example only: I had a KTM 1290 super duke and then the Tuono 1100.
Sold them and got an R1 for the track days only and a Dorsoduro 750 r for the every day commuting and fun. Bingo.
To me 100 cv with less than 200 kg is the perfect bike for roads and you can go even faster
@@paponeable you need as much bhp as you can get mate, the faster the better, that's the fun of riding a bike otherwise I'd ride a f*cking moped !!!!.🤪👍🇬🇧
@@bakedbeanzontoast9078 Thanks to confirm my theory: you’ll never go faster , not even with a rocket, on open roads with A twin with 100 horse power. 😏👍🏻
@@bakedbeanzontoast9078 or maybe.... On an highway.... but where is the fun of driving on an endless strip of tarmac...😏
Very nice Italian exotica but the price diverts me to the Trident unfortunately. Great review though 👍
What a fab bike! Looking forward to hearing how it compares to the Street Triple... Your mic picked up the sound beautifully on that vid, sounds great doesn't it....top work as ever sir!
Looking forward to your "living with" & "cost of ownership" vids. Go on, you know you want one......
looking forward to your videos on RS vs Tuono and also comparison with Street Triple RS. Really enjoy your in depth videos sir!
#themissendenflyer it has a fuel gage! So you will like it! 👍
You lads need to do a Bike Battle when the UK opens up again. Great content from both so would be ace to have you two battle it out.
Thanks Andy sir 🙏
