I've always thought russian Manicures were gorgeous. I didn't know what they were called, so I didn't try to learn how to do them. Now that I know I'm gonna do these all the time.
never use bits with “teeth” on the natural nail, also going back and forth with the nail drill will make it slip and cut you. btw i’m not trying to be rude, you did amazing!

The back of the cuticle pusher is a tool for cleaning up the bits of cuticle. Sometimes it can be a hangnail remover, too.
If you wash or soak your hands in warm water before you start it makes it very easy and comfortable when you push back the cuticles

you should get them from nailhub, you shouldn't use cheap one, and def not plastic and you shouldn't even have to use the pusher
there are bits on aliexpress that are the exact same as these. Same material, same quality.

Russian women have the best manicures!! I’ve read online their technique is dangerous too the nails because it can cause bacteria but I’m not sure I believe that? I haven’t seen any bad reviews on getting a Russian mani and it seems like Russian women have been doing this for a while if it is done properly. I just don’t know any salons near me that will do it, should I ask for a combined manicure instead of a ‘Russian’ manicure? Also anyone who has done this mani have any troubles? Seems like when a ‘new’ technique comes out for nails there are always people saying how dangerous it is lol

The biggest risk with this in salons is them not disenfecting and sanitizing the bits properly. They should be using special solutions such as barbacide which is shown to do the job properly

where did you get your tools ?
This is not professional or allowed in the united states. We are supposed to beautify and do it safely. The cuticle is necessary to prevent infections. This is a disservice to clients. It does not matter how gently you preform or nice it looks. 😊
If you apply oil on the cuticle then how are you going to get it off again before your acrylic set because oil on the nail plate will result in lifting. So what are you going to use in place of oil if that skin is dry and hard?
id apply the oil after you finish the acrylic/gel set

Sure. It's also helpful if your e-file has a reverse button on it. Remember to keep the rpms low on the natural nail. Hope this helps!
