    Yet another amazing John Sykes song. To Whitesnake newcomers: almost all the guitars in the 1987 Whitesnake album were performed by John Sykes, one of the Top 5 heavy rock guitarists of all time.

Aldridge went into a killer drum solo in the middle of "Crying in the Rain" (I believe), at one point throwing away his sticks and pounding on the set with his bare hands! Friggin awesome!

    • @BramEngelenMusic
      @BramEngelenMusic Před 3 lety +2

      @@inddarbarreto1746 Actually Doug's technique is the most ergonomically correct way of playing there is, he uses the so-called "thumb behind the neck" fretting hand technique where it's placed very low and not wrapped around it 😉 It originates from classical guitarists and feels looser on your hands and your fingers are standing straight onto the strings. Not many people do it, but it's actually how it is 'supposed' to be funnily enough 😜

    @Xiolablu3 I was at that gig standing right in front of Coverdale. In fact, you can see me in the this vid. I can tell you - there's no overdubs on this DVD. Coverdale was awesome at this gig - I was really amazed.
