      @@user-pd9ju5dk5s you can't turn foot on every kick and to keep your heal posted at pad holder takes great hip flexibility ,speKing from experience I've always got foot turned and stable after fist kick however everyone is different sometimes due to injuries such as sciatica which is debilitating.

      @@muaythai.8474 The man is literally kicking it straight up with no torque from core muscle like it's a soccer kick almost. You can watch videos of Thai guys kicking pads doing the same routine he's doing with more rotation

      @@user-pd9ju5dk5s I've been kicking for 37 years and still teach muaythai .so besides the lack of heal turn on toes which opens up the hips ,it's great stamina training ,but as a trainer I would emphasise the heal turn to my students when throwing power at end of combo .sometimes 45 degrees into the ribs will suffice ..🦿

      Traditionally he should be and most likely would be if he threw just one kick, however I believe the purpose of this drill is repetition and intensity.

      @@mikeristow9150get response mike, I agree! Mechanics are quite hindered when drilling multiple kicks (especially more than 2) and must be sacrificed for speed while holding some power. Obviously, though, the power is asinine in comparison to a single roundhouse body kick kicked every 5-10 seconds with full power.

      @@jallopail2721 first , kicks not punches.
      second , yes throwing full power kicks is not the point of this drill , these are ladder kicks , they're not supposed to be thrown full power.
      third , am guessing you didn't get the point of my comment , obviously he could kick much harder than that , but saying "zero power" is plain wrong as these kicks absolutely have some power in them even though it's not as much as a proper round kick with pivoting and hip rotation , it's just physics force = mass × acceleration .
