  • Belgium was the very first country to announce its representative for Eurovision 2024, which will be held in Malmö in May. Mustii was the chosen act by Belgian broadcaster RTBF, and he has now released his song for the upcoming music contest.
The song is titled "Before the Party's Over," and along with the song the Belgian singer also released the music video for it.
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Belgium has qualified for the Grand Final 9 out of 19 times (in 2010 they even came in first in Semi-final 1).

I feel a similar way with Mustii as I do with Raiven. Both have music videos with a lot silver body paint and nudity. Both songs lack that traditional hook which can make them hard to remember on first listen. They're more growers than bangers. The final third of both songs is where the songs really takes of and shine, especially in Before the Party's Over that final third gives me goosebumps. And finally both songs sound like movie soundtracks: Veronika transports me to an atmospheric battle scene in an epic fantasy story while Before the Party's Over sound like Belgiums usual James Bond intro songs.

I quite like this one! The build is good, he has a great voice, and I think they utilized the choir bit well.

@@davidsweden6932 We will see what it will do on Eurovision. There must be different styles of music on Eurovision. Not every song must be a dance track, last year we did send Gustaph (a dance track). My country Belgium doesn't invest that much into Eurovision like Sweden does and we don't care if we don't win either. To host it costs a lot of money and we rather spend that money in something else.
