I have always admired the genre of Post Rock as it really gives you some positive ambient vibes. But honestly, I have never really researched how Post Rock has evolved over these years. I know a few bands and I listen to them, but after listening to Kino's (Russian: Кино) music, I have realized now the origins of post-rock / new wave rock music have its history from the 80s (I am assuming it's even older than that) probably it got split from the Progressive rock genre as a whole. The irony is that, In India, we do have a craze for Post Rock now and many new bands are coming up with this sound which was already there in Russia for decades and decades. Well, studying different genres of music is really comforting. If you guys are into this genre, do check out Kino, they are one of the legends of Russian Post Rock music, active since 1981 !!

Vocalist and leader of the Kino band Viktor Tsoi died in a car accident in 1990. The band's musicians gathered more than 30 years later to give memorable concerts in honor of Viktor Tsoi. At concerts they use Victor's vocals digitized from studio and rehearsal tapes. Kino’s songs are simple at first glance, but at the same time they contain many metaphors, so when listening to the songs, many fans find in them some kind of their own message and meaning. Therefore, the songs of the Kino band are still popular, more than 30 years later.

Спасибо,реагируйте еще на Кино.Я их фанат с 80 х годов,и помню день 15 августа 90 года,когда сообщили,что Виктор Цой погиб в аварии Но Цой жив,так у нас говорят,и это факт.Несколько лет назад группа Кино создала потрясающий проект,где в новой аранжировке и с голосом Виктора Цоя звучат их песни Из старого состава нет двоих,но есть легенды гитаристы Каспарян,Тихомиров и они заучат так же круто,как раньше.

This song is usually used to end the party by wishing everyone a good night literally and figuratively. Imagine yourself at 4 am with the boys at streets after some fucked up shit all drunk and exhausted so all you want is to dive into the bed and embrace the new day. Basically it's rock lullaby

Dude, thanks for the cool and genuine reaction to the video! The band KINO is truly legendary in the post-Soviet countries, literally every person knows them, be it a schoolchild or a pensioner. I highly recommend to appreciate their other most popular songs (although all their songs are popular):

Although Kino is much warmer.
This song is called "Good Night", but the meaning of the songs is naturally ambiguous, as it seems at first glance.
