If you've even read this far, then congratulations. You're one of an exclusive band of car buyers who would countenance buying a Volkswagen Jetta. It's hard to think of a car quite as talented as VW's midrange saloon that has been so roundly ignored. For a car that's ostensibly a Golf with a boot, the Jetta has had a tough time squeaking sales out of British buyers, its hatchback sibling outselling it by nine units to one. History
Volkswagen has tried, tried and tried again to sell us a medium range saloon and we've largely nodded, agreed that they were quite nice and then bought something else. The Jetta first appeared in 1979 as a booted version of the Golf Mk1. Designed by Giugiaro, the lines didn't appear to have a single curve on them. This car was replaced by the Vento, then the Bora and then we came back to the Jetta badge again in 2005. Its replacement is the car we look at here, the Jetta that was spawned from the sixth-generation Golf, launched in 2010 and carried through to 2014.

I drive one. Very happy
I have the 2016 facelift one and I am surprised how easy is it to find tuning parts! 10/10 car. The trunk ate 6 people's luggage.
Drive a 2014 tdi,only problem so far is maybe water freezing in the inter cooler, condensation building up water over time than freezing
I had one from 2013 to 2022, it was a Diesel and drove it more than 170000 kms and it drove like new. Had to sell it off due to emissions laws in Delhi India. The best car so far I have ever driven.
I still have it and driven it for 1.9 lakh kms. Just one line, they don’t make such cars anymore under 20 lakh
Should of put a sun roof and a turbo this is being compared to a BMW 3 series not sure
I have a VW Jetta 2011 TDi, and I have gone through three different stock stereos (since owning the vehicle in 2018). This is obviously pitiful performance from these stereos. I have no idea what causes to just stop working. There was no triggering event that I’ve been able to pinpoint.
Any recommendations on a replacement stereo?
I've looked on Amazon, Sonic Electronix, and Crutchfield. Haven't purchased one yet, but I've looked at these stereo equipment stores.
I have a 2012 model the stereo has been great. No complaints
No parking sensors?
I have a 2015 SEL.
