Man 49ers are a tough football team, they lose their franchise QB in the 3rd of week of the season, n they still very competitive. This is growing pains of a young football team. They been in almost every game.

The 49ers need a pass rush more than anything, too many opposing QBs are getting plenty of time to throw with a clean pocket, and that would also help out the secondary and LBs...if that is addressed I can see at least a few of those close losses becoming wins.

Bluestorm Nation I am so tired of the “young WR can’t trust,” thing. Rodgers plays that card with anybody new (die-hard GB guy here btw,) and it is getting old. Look what Calvin Ridley has done. If you put Ridley on the Packers, I’d bet he’d be in line for maybe 1-2 catches by the fourth game, max. You see much less experienced QB’s hooking up with young WR’s every week. Instead of having these young guys try to replicate Jordy, having Aaron disappointed when they can’t, have them run easier routes to start off the season, getting them used to NFL speed, building confidence along the way. I’m just so sick of Aaron overlooking everything, and calling out these guys. I’ve never in all my years saw Favre pull this crap. He was the exact opposite. “Hey who’s that #82 Favre just splinged it to for his first NFL catch?? I don’t know but it’s his first play out there!” An obvious example, but this was not uncommon with him under Center.

This Niner team was better than that 2018 record showed. I will take the high road and not mention the calls/non-calls that usually go hand in hand with a Rogers game wining drive. But this Niner team went into Lambo with an on field product littered with 2nd/3rd string players and a back up qb, giving the ball up 3 times, only to lose in the last moments of the game. If Mullens was in there's a good chance the result would have been a W.

Mason is probably the greatest story in this game. Has a historically bad game last week (4 missed field goals and a missed extra point), bounces back this week with three perfect field goals, including the game winner.
It's a huge deal. Usually if a kicker loses his confidence, he never recovers.

They just were on him all night this year. That front four for the 49ers this year is relentless and brutal compared to the last year's. Crazy.
