Man as much as i read people bashing you I decided to attack what u said first seemed simple enough to check took me 10 minutes to do on my girls 2007 ford focus ,when she tried to shut the car off it also kept running when she took the key out of ignition, unless u reattempted to shut off and jiggle it and sometimes wouldnt start back up on first try to start .i located the ground wires under the hood they were blue coroded and yes chasis was painted under ground ring i poured a lil cocacola on it to help corosion used the roughest sand paper i could find reattached tightened ,and to make a short story longer .I got in ,and problem was corrected instantly so in my book your correct and i appreciate you man thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with me :)
I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and it won't crank won't start but it's showing the any theft light and it won't start even when I press all my buttons on Mikey's both of my keys they won't work nothing else pops up or lights up besides that any flight the horn don't even work
Okay this is not the issue I’m having in my case the key starts to turn the engine then it stops and says no key detected but if I sit there and keep trying it will eventually turn over all I know is I went to a locksmith because I thought the key was no good and changing the battery didn’t help but key signal 100% he hooked up a computer and got an immobilizer code but didn’t know what it meant nor how to fix it
Try it with the spare if you have one....could also be a fuel issue....maybe clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump...etc..... Also check your ground wires to make sure they are not dirty or corroded.....could be alot of things....mass airflow sensor? Throttle position sensor? Check engine light? Codes? Crankshaft? Camshaft? Just check all those off the list...weak battery?
To some up this video: The guy has used lots of drugs and he does not like to share. Also grab a jumper wire or even jumper cables and connect it to your battery ground and the other end to your frame to make a very solid undeniable connection. Now you just confirmed or disproved that your ground is the issue. Only fix things that need fixing.

Wow....sorry to hear that....that's alot of Diagnosing with minimal results.
Try wiggling the key when you do it. Could be the cylinder itself....
Also make sure you are in park...try starting it nudging the shifter to park.
