My oldest son & I have prayerfully found the perfect wedding mother/son dance for his wedding next month. We have listened to everything and have not found the right song & his wedding is in 3 weeks. We prayed about it and God sent us this today 🙏💞
My world was my son. I was 17 when I had him so we both grew up together and most times were beautiful but there were some scary and hard moments but nothing that would’ve made me regret my baby. He was murdered at the young age of 30 last April 21st for saving someone from being beat in a domestic violence situation. He is my hero and he took my shattered heart with him when he left me here. This one hit home for me. I got pregnant with my daughter at 15. She literally has seen me grow up, seen me fail, seen me cry, lose myself, pull myself back up and im still trying to fix all my mistakes. The best thing i ever did though was raise her. No matter how hard its been at times id do it all again. Everyday i look at her, i couldnt be more proud of her and us.

Just found this song and even the song title makes me cry. I was 18 when I became a mom and was a single mama to 3 babies at 22. I fight the the feelings of shame as i think of the mistakes I've made along the way, all while my kids were watching. I thank God for keeping the four of us safe during this season. Gabby, this one hit in ways I can't even begin to explain. As a mom of 6, four still in the home and two in college now, this can only sum up part of how life with my babies has been so far.
Your words strike chords in me that had me tearing up, as well as laugh. Them driving, 3 in my case and one not far from it, really does drive me crazy. I worry even more. Teaching them to drive was fun though. Youngest driver would slow down for vehicles coming are way and the second driver would jerk us all the way up hills, no matter how small or big they were. The oldest, well, she liked finding every pothole she could. 😂

He came to so many things kids usually dont get to be there for like my husband and I graduating from university and pinning on his dad's pilot wings. Now that little boy is about to turn 9 and has three younger siblings between 3 and 7, time is flying. I feel blessed to be 30 and already have had so many years with my kids.
