Oh kiddo, if only you've seen Rico's and Jugs' reaction to your adlib in 0:53 and of course the "Ang Galing" moment, you wouldn't be too shy. There is no one way to sing a song, and kid proves that with every cover he does. We have a real artist here, people!

Jugs to Darren: Galing. And I love how Rico Blanco eyed Darren like saying "wow, this boy has something to say". Yes, Jk is more into the low notes while Darren is more comfortable in high notes which is unique for a young man. What I love about Darren, every time he sings a song, he makes it like his own. Take for an example "Tell The World of His Love".
They are both talented and charming. But of course, people can't avoid the comparison between these two boys. It's just that for me Darren's talent is one of a kind,rare (one of a billion if i must say). Anyways, these two young lads deserve all the best blessings in life. Both are hard workin, they treat each other like bros (despite their fans continuously pitting them against each other) and they both deserve success. Good day everyone.

Darren cannot sing low notes. JK cannot sing high notes.
Time and time again the boys have noted their weaknesses in interviews and behind the scenes. JK admires Darren because he can belt and Darren can't reach the deep end of the scale so JK does it when he cannot. Darren himself said "Hindi ko abot" and if you've seen other videos, when JK can't sing the high notes, Darren has him covered.
Jugs said "Galing!" after Darren started out on his own key. Some Darren fans may say that Jugs said this because of Darren's expected belting of notes and perhaps he did, but do keep in mind that Jugs says this after JK has entered and added the backing vocals. When they sing together and are given ample time to adjust, it really does create great harmony and blending.
People may say that this particular song fits JK better because of the natural huskiness of his voice, while some may say that Darren sings the song with great technique in the right key. As a fan who loves both of them equally, I refuse to think one is better than the other. They are different people and more importantly, they're friends. These two sing great together despite the difference in style, genre, texture, and even range.
The duet part was the best and if you fail or deny to see the greatness in those few seconds, reconsider calling yourself a fan. Stop the comparison.

I don't know why people argue about Darren's Low Notes ang JK's High Notes. Like come on, Every singers has their own high and low notes and it varies on their vocal range. Darren's low notes might not be as low as JK's. Same as JK's high notes might not be as high as Darren's. Again this is because they differ in vocal range, genre and they are completely two different people! :)

I'm a big fan of Rivermaya and this song should have angas if you know what I mean. JK undeniably has that masculine husky voice as a result of puberty fit for certain genre of music like slow rock band songs and it would be unfair to expect him to sing like Sarah G. However, Ms. Kris gave Darren a chance to sing based on a key that is comfortable for him (which is high) when they sing together however, it blended nicely and that's what Kris said when she applauded. Obviously when you're bias, it is easy to miss out on this.

Yes obviously these 2 boys are different musical wise. idk why kept being compared, it's not about high notes all the time. Agree Darren has a Sarah G like voice for a boy which is impressive alright (and unusual) while JK's has evolved into a more manly tone and may follow the likes of his coach Bamboo. I just prefer JK's style though. Astig. You rock young man!
