I'd be wary of using her Bond CE. The NP damage buff is only 10% higher than Divine 3-Legged Race's, which doesn't really justify it being locked to 100 attack. By comparison, 3-Legged Race goes between 500 and 2k attack.
@@Finotaisen Yeah, I'd argue that save for certain supports and Heracles, Bond CEs are more trophies than anything else.

@@ocarinadude762 Mostly those are used to help a bit more for the looping, but if you want even more damage without the risk of the buffs expiring yeah you can use those support bond ces to help your dps.
She seems like a rare case in which her first append skill (buffing the extra card) seems a better option over the NP starting charge as she is entirely focused in solo fights.
Extra attack card append is a MUST for every single solo servant, you get a lot more mileage from it than starting charge over the course of a fight, even if early np's are sometimes nice.
The starting charge is only useful for pure support servants or DPS's that have horrid np gain and only work on teams tbh.

I love Taira so far. Her animations are on point, her skill set is fun to let her just brawl so wonderfully, her NP does numbers, and she's just cool as all hell.

iirc, Kagokiyo's loose definition of "Genji" is "those who prosper". ...which is incredibly difficult to code for, so the damage bonus in game only applies to the Minamoto and their servants/descendants.

Taira is an absolute beast, I just entered the lost belts and shes killing everything, the tree the Valkyries, she even cleared waves solo I'm shook.
I've been using Jalter religiously but Taira has the survivability that Jalter was never able to hold up for me its bonkers 🙏

Saved 2 years to NP5 her and thankfully hit the goal, she's incredibly fun to use but I hope they fix the bug where her NP theme doesn't play for some reason.
Using healing codes wasn't something I was certain about because I figured it would get in the way of properly using guts, but after hearing your thoughts on it I'll probably swap my command codes around to maximise the longevity she can have.
Collected 2300 SQ with intention to np5 her. 2300 sq later she is np2 and I don't even have lmd craft essence that comes in her banner. I envy you, brother, gods of gacha trully smiled upon you

@@EurekaAK75 yep. Got 1st at 330th roll and 2nd at somewhere around 1800 SQ spended. For 2300sq I totaly got 2 Ushi, 1 Helena, 1 Ibaraki and 1 Emiya red archer. I'm not very lucky at gacha *shrug*

But if Taira ever spooks me on a GSSR, then I’ll definitely raise her. She looks quite fun.
I've never had a good solo character on my account outside of Cu, and on the summon I pulled Kagekiyo, I also pulled Heracles. Just stumbled my way into two of the best solo cockroches in the game.
Heracles will carry you everywhere, he really needs his other form.
@@TehReasoning I've had him backlined for ages slowly working towards his bond CE. Kagekiyo is just too strong a soloist to not use. I plan to 120 her come her next banner, wallet be damned.
If only there was a way to get poster girl for those who started later. The upcoming ce banners make sure to not include it which would've been fine bait if I do say so myself.
I still remember that one video where someone sets up Kagekiyo to have as many Grudge stacks as humanly possible.

I already grailed her to 100 and maxed both stats and command cards, i've always ignored the fou paws but on a servant like this where you use face cards a lot they are actually useful. Great servant overall, can't wait for the next grail front.

Managed to get her to NP3 & she can be quite insane. I use Skadi & Van Gogh with her & it’s great so far.

@@glassofgas8631, yes, they do. Remember that Van Gogh can be used as either a DPS or Quick Crit Support. Not to mention that Taira’s Evade also has a Curse effect that Van Gogh can absorb for her NP Battery.

All you have to do is wait
give her a Quick Buff and she'll put Jalter out of job. Setting aside her Deck not being ideal for DPS, her being able to keep supplying her own Stars, Higher Crits, Charge, easier spam and a Nigh Unavoidable NP, better longevity. she's already got the tools needed to be the best Avenger around. REally the only Downi see in her is her only owning 1 On-Demand Abusable Damage and that Quick itself is squat at Long Term
She has a 100% self crit boost for 3 turns, she put jalter out of job during launch itself
If you want to make Kagekiyo even mote broken, you can always give her an np upgrade that applies quick up for a turn before damage

Just letting you know that you need NP3 to unlock an Append skill. I recommend Extra Attack append.
If you don't care about it. NP2 and around Bond 15 is enough to 120 an SSR.

I unlocked the 20% np charge for my np1 Arjuna alter, so I believe there may be a typo in your statement respectfully.

Nah. She is a quick card servant that also has a nuke np, which is why double arts - double quick work perfectly with her. It's even better on jp with QAB chain update where there's no real reason to have 2 busters in a deck if you have no buster up on your own in a kit
i didnt see you mention her bond CE, which has a guts and NP damage, is that just too weak or is there some other reason it wasnt mentioned
Bond CEs have very bad statlines, so I'd avoid running them on attackers unless you lack a better option. For instance, Kagekiyo's Bond CE is permanently at 100 attack while Traces of Christmases Past goes between 500 and 2000 attack depending on its level.

Any tips on how to properly stack guts for solo fights, without using necromemes?
at a baseline you can do guts, then evade+atlas cooldown, then atlas invuln, then guts again. if you can predict enemy damage output, you can set the guts in advance so its CD is lowered by the time it pops. guts CEs and the like can buy you additional “free turns” to string together cooldown uses.
Herc will always be the best anchor on any team, 4 guts with buster up for each one used, 1 turn evade, 70k damage per turn on average without np.

Herc is the weakest now. It goes like this basically Taira>Cu Alter>Herc
Herc is a cheap option for new accounts but there's no point in using him now with Kagekiyo, just get her as a support if you lack your own.
Herc is way better than Cu as a soloer lol, Taira is about the same if not better but Cu cannot compare to these 2.
As a reminder, Atlas Herc can manage to suvive at the very least 8 turn without problem. Cu by himself can last 3 to 4 turns.

My FGO never crashed, but it does freeze sometimes. It changes from update to update, with some being normal and working properly.
You can try to use the "Clear Cache" button in the login screen. It will reset game's recourses and cause it to redownload them. It might help, might not.

i kinda regret not saving for her and spend all of my sq on muramasa and spistar, i've used all of my luck on those 2 banner, and rolled both of them.
i didn't know she's really good, i thought she cannot tank because she's an avenger and they tend to have low hp

I mean if you like Muramasa and Spishtar you shouldn't feel that bad. Plus they're really good too, Spishtar in particular, being arguably the most useful out of all three

How important is Np lvls for taira
np2 is a good staple for high Np damage, Np1 is fine but it'll take time setting up since you have to proc the Genji skill stack to 4 in order do good to high damage, so np2 is mainly recommended here but np1 could still be viable.
I have 7 copies of her to secure all the entire append and for 120lvls 🤣 I love her

Little does he know, that by using Azamaru’s Mist and having the Chaldea Pathfinder Mystic Code (Which you definitely could use, considering the Quick/NP and Party-Wide Crit steroids), you can get Van Gogh from 0-100% in a single turn, and then cleanse all of Gogh’s curses, assuming you have 3 Servants on the field.
Through this, you could, funnily enough, use Kagekiyo as Gong Fodder for a Gogh solo (Because Kagekiyo doesn't have Existence Outside the Domain, it is probably better to have Gogh as the soloing servant, but if you wanna make Kagekiyo do it instead, you totally can, you’d just have to Gong twice because of Gogh’s Guts).

One thing that's been bugging me about Kagekiyo/Yoshitsune.....
WAS Yoshitsune female in the Fate universe? Or was she born female like Artoria?
Yoshitsune's two main appearences give references to both his wife and his biological son. So, did Kiishi Hogan make Shana-oh male using tengu magecraft? That would explain why Taira appeared when trying to turn a young girl Ushiwakamaru into an adult. Becoming a male and having wife and heir was for Yoritomo. A female Yoshitsune would represent rejection of the Genji.
Personally I kinda regard Fate-verse Yoshitsune's wife and mistress as being her only two female friends, and Benkei as the father of their children (or the wife's, at least).
As for everything else... Apparently children were considered genderless until they were seven or eight. Combine that with Ushiwaka's... Entire personality... and it's believable (not historically, but in the bounds of fiction, sure) that she decided, "Okay, need to avenge my dad. That's men's work. Which means I need a capping ceremony, so I can legally be a man."
And from there we'll assume that Yoritomo and Co pushed hard for Yoshitsune to be recorded in history as a man - It would be awfully embarrassing for the surviving Taira AND the Kamakura Shogunate to have been put to so much trouble by a weird girl, let alone for her to have at one point had the emperor's favor. So obviously Yoshitsune was really just a pretty man.

Fate Ushiwakamaru was definitely born a female, that's obvious, but yes, Ushiwakamaru had a similar mindset as Artoria, in the quests to be a powerful warrior. Unlike Tomoe Gozen and Qin Liangyu in China, Ushiwakamaru never even considered the implications of being born female. She knew she was female, but it mattered little to her, so she became the legendary Ushiwakamaru, the fabeled Shanna-oh, and the legendary General Yoshitsune.
She was born kind of a sword wielding psychopath, having an absolutely incredible body count with the sword and other samurai weapons for just one person.
But, by the point of being adult Yoshitsune, it was obvious to her retainers, and her envious brother, that everyone needed to consider her a male.
But then when Yoshitsune's mind becomes awake during Hyien-Kyo, she mentions her SON she had with a WOMAN....
...Chitosemaru.
So how did Fate Ushiwakamaru have a son with one of his wives/concubines? Yoshitsune's brother even knew that he existed, because he was on the list of Yoshitsune's family to be targeted.
And guess what?
In some of the legends, Chitosemaru survived the massacre as he was her (his?) biological son, and there was a retainer that secretly carried him to a far away to monastary to live.
That retainer was none other then Hitachibou, FGO's favorite false Benkei.
At least in some legends.
But yeah, Fate Yoshitsune mentioning having a non-adopted, biological son with a woman, is a mystery.
I lucked out and got her from a single pull, Now I can finally retire the overrated Jalter, LOL.
