Familiar yet not, trippy. All musical greats have that ear for that sound and it transcends all genres. Don't ever stop listening to music and never confine yourself to on genre. Peace and blessings to all now let's listen to this musical brawl
...in the heat of August with a mild breeze blowing, golden rays of sun hinting at the evening creeping in. I can see the town I lived in when I was 14 so clearly, with a buddy of mine taking a break from playing Halo 3, going down the street to grab a bag of chips and an ice tea
Q-Tip is the only person that is on DOOM's level when it comes to the perfect sampled Loop.Rza beats are more chopped up he is the best at what he and Madlib does,Dilla is the greatest at programming his sounds and flipping his samples kind of what 9th Wonder does, don't believe just listen to a 9th or Dilla sample then peep the original and you will just hear a 1bar maybe 2 bar loop and they cut into 1000 pieces. The best Jerry the best.
Sobroc's loop library which is in the Tens of Thousands (rip), JDilla (rip), Madlib and various uncredited producers and djs did MOST if not ALL of the brunt of MF Doom's production and sampling..... he composed it.... (aka pasted the loops together) and made most the songs by hand on a MPC.... but other people sampled, made loops and cleaned up sound.... he just arranged everything like a madman and spit over his work.... genius of the next level and master of raw talent is DOOM.. RIP SUBROC!!!
I'm a Doom fan and like his beats, but I wouldn't say he's really creative or in the class of those other producers. Most of his beats are loops. He doesn't really flip samples like those other guys.
I’m sad I only discovered Doom shortly before he passed but I’m very glad to have delved so deep into such an incredible artist. Just sad I didn’t know about him sooner. Rest easy forever, you’ll always be alive through your music
good no one has proclaimed themselves as a hater! this beat is funky and hip and soulful. I just traveled back in time with a space suit and a gold chain!
3 quarters of my life i spent .. broke border to border knife to the throat from slanging dope bonnie out in sunny cali alley cats provoked in hopes of transaction satisfaction trench coats and nope,…. den coats they aint for weather, leather double breasted slug ingesting vest to test finess less stress late night but gets no rest glock packed rock sacks stashed, unknown address and by the way , bonnies real name is susie and when the pigs get cluesy thats when she'd oozie
personally, this reminds me of when i used to play video games all the time when i was a kiad, and i'd be entranced. like pokemon or Mischief Makers. i used to think video game music was like elevator music but its actually kind of dope, like that Zelda track by Dilla

Rest In Peace DOOM. You changed my life in the best way possible. Thank you everything!

@@the2nd36
And the king George Duke was used, RIP
Bless up the herbs my yute!
Sounds futuristic yet retro
Right?
If the song didn’t have the drums, it’d sound like a loading screen in a Mario game, maybe for one of the Galaxy games
So basically 90's early 2000's because alot of stuff hit this kind of vibe during that era

This is what a thick, pungent, fragrant, absolutely beautiful cloud of kush smoke sounds like.

I’m sad I only discovered Doom shortly before he passed but I’m very glad to have delved so deep into such an incredible artist. Just sad I didn’t know about him sooner. Rest easy forever, you’ll always be alive through your music
Best way to describe the feeling I get from this beat - it feels like I heard it in a past life and am rediscovering it in this one.

Doom and Rza are the most creative producers of all time. But if I had to pick between the two....
Erick Arc Elliott tho
Delbert Grady Dont forget Madlib or J Dilla though....
Markus D. Forza gotta love Zombies
DOOM is a lil more funky. RZA is a lil more dark and gritty.
I like Alchemist Pete Rock Primo too
Boards of Canada, video theme Mr. Doom! 👊🏾👊🏾
