This is super cool. I’m pretty sure there are some mods that allow world generation based off of real world data sourced online, effectively making the world generation mirror earth on a 1-1 scale, but I don’t think that mod exists on 1.20+. If it did though it’d be super cool if you explored places like Sweden or the grand canyon.
Tectonic paired with terralith gives some really nice terrain generation, the oceans are way bigger plus you get these cool rivers that flow through mountains and massive lava lakes at the bottom of the world, also the mountains are absurdly big and in general pairs very well with distant horizons
Yeah, the 1-1 earth mod is only for 1.12, I think
You could try combining some magic mods, like Ars Nouveau or Iron Spell Books, with these mods, and use Custom Player Models to add flight animations when using spells.

Wow, that's a really interesting channel! Can you do survival lets play series with dh plus this terrain generation modes ? And maybe a little bit of custom mobs(not monster or bosses though)

There is no problem with the combination of versions, so it seems possible in theory! I'll try it when I have time🤝
DH and create works fine, but I noticed that create is laggy with shaders :/

How much rendering distance do you use in the mod?
16 chunks in Minecraft settings and 384 chunks in DH settings.

That's a difficult question. It's not unplayable, but things like searching for specific biomes are devastatingly difficult.
If you have friends who play with regular Render Distance, you should also consider other Worldgen options such as Tectonic🤔

Try creating a new world and see if it's available in creative mode. If it's not in your creative inventory, you have the wrong version installed. The version used in this video is v1.0.0⛏️

The GPU doesn't really matter in this case, as long as you can run shaders without DH. Distant Horizons needs a good CPU to work.
I have a 4060ti, so I have over 100 fps when playing with shaders, but due to my trash Cpu Dh wont render more than 64 chunks.
