I bought this guitar for myself. Fiddled with guitar in highschool 32 years old now and decided to put in the effort to learn. I like it pretty well so far. The only issue I've had is the pick guard is trying to peel off near the point by the sound hole. Otherwise I'm satisfied with it.

Sweet, you'll definitely get the hang of it. It's a decent guitar for sure. What style of music/songs are you planning on learning?

It might need an truss rod or bridge saddle adjustment, your local tech or teacher can help with adjusting it.

My husband and I want to get our grandson his first guitar and I have it down to this Squire for $100 or an Epiphone PR 150 for $119. I have an old Epi Hummingbird so, I'm familiar with them but his hands are giant for a 12 yr old and I was wondering if the Squire neck would accommodate him?

This guitar would be good for a beginner, and for the price it sounds really good!

This Squier has a thinner neck, I think the eiphone would be a better option for your grandson. If anything, he should try them side by side (if possible) and see which feels more comfortable to him if anything it might even be a different brand/model he might end up going with. Hope this helps...plz let me know which guitar he ended up going with.

@@JohnnyGuitaristOfficial Yeah, we got him an Epiphone and it was on sale for $140. He's not playing it, but I know he will eventually.
