It's great workout music. If I ever need to get through a set and I'm listening to Pantera it gives me an extra boost.

I am broken from an accident I listen to Pantera while doing my physical therapy and YES it makes me strong
Dimebag was a legend, but I don't think we should overlook how amazing his brother was on the drums.
Youre totally correct. Cool thing about Pantera fans is we tend to give credit to each member

I like to think of this song as one of a trilogy.
1/ I'm broken - Being at your lowest and feeling hopeless
2/ Mouth for war - Deciding to pick yourself up; beginning to ignore the 'false narratives' and the losers that spread them; and stick two fingers up to all naysayers
3/ A new level - Pushing onwards and feeling stronger by the day

So good. For those of you that weren't "there" when this first came out, Vulgar Display was just unheard of for the times- the sound, riffs, recording quality, drum mix- just colossal. I rode my bike to a record store to buy this and listened to it non-stop. Saw 'em on this tour with Sacred Reich too (if you don't know them- GET the "Independent" album- or just about any of 'em).
Its also funny to think in retrospect that this was pop music.....you could have seen this after school on MTV. Relative to these days we had such great pop music, brilliant and relatively edgy bands like Faith No More, Primus, Alice in Chains.
I am so lucky to have met them after a show. Saw them 3 times fucking amazing. Cool dudes

Besides the killer groove, and Vinnies drum performance I think the most impressive thing about this is that Philip is literally screaming his head off and singing simultaneously. @@BuckeyeM80 I always thought the soundtrack was just based off what their radio was playing
The composer for the Doom soundtrack was also a lawyer, so he knew how much he could legally copy.
When Doom was being created, they literally handed Robert Prince a stack of CDs and said "Make it sound like this.," That isn't a paraphrase that comes directly from Robert Prince in the thousands of interviews and documentaries about it.
So he made it sound like that.

In the 90s, we have bands like Death, Morbid Angel, Entombed Atheist, Dismember, Cannibal Corpse and other death and black metal bands who survived the 90s. Pantera saved the mainstream scene, but the metal scene was never dead to begin with.

April 2023 and still the most powerful and badass song ever!!! I'm 43 and it will continue the same until my last fucking day. PANTERA!🔥🤘🏼
Love Pantera. I'm from dfw and I'm the same age dime would be if he was still with us. They r immortal. There music will live forever. One of the heaviest bands on the planet
I can listen to Pantera--it's that type of metal that just feels AWESOME. That's not to say there are any "bad" metal bands out there, that's just a matter of opinion, but let me tell you, PANTERA ARE LEGENDS
I feel the same
fucking right broh
That One Guy dime is good but no one is as good as lil wayne. Lol 😂😂😂
Elite Gaming he'll yea
That One Guy limp bizkit, nuff said
By far one of the best songs of 1992. Maybe of the decade. This is where Metal is supposed to go.
Pantera reunion just announced for 2023
Best album of 1992 maybe
@@rolandmeyer7853 Makes no sense tbh- Half the band is dead and they already had such a legendary run. 😭
@@Bon-The-Rabbit I agree
@@nleak92 In my opinion, Images & Words by Dream Theater was the best album of that year, but VDoP is a contender for sure!
