"Even now, my voice is reaching millions around the world"
He didn't know what meaning those words will have when he said that,
here we are, so many years later and people still hear him.
It is the most amazing speech i have ever heard, and he is talking drom the heart.
He used he's film to send a message to the world.

I have a theory…. back then people used to communicate, speak to each other, tell stories and debate - they had little else to do! Vocal communication was everything! This is why, if you listen to people speaking from that era then they sound educated, well-spoken and erudite - that was just normal to them, and to answer your question, I’m sure Chaplin didn’t think he was special as vocal communication was the norm and by those standards he did not have a powerful voice. It’s really a shame that we have lost that skill.

what a brilliant and perceptive observation .it's his light standing up to hitlers darkness. one of my hero's took this to heart .a young german solder {[ he was heinz Drossel's mate] on the russian fron who decided he wasn't doing it anymore , and chose a court marshal and firing squad for his stance, even though they tried to talk him out of it. he didn't get caught in the madness and euphoria/seduction of the little picture but could see the big picture and therefore recognise the insanity he was caught up in and say with the conviction of his life ,"thanks but no thanks". what a hero.i hope all whistle blowers can take strength and comfort from a speech like this when they feel alone and reviled. i'm continually amazed and staggered at the strength and potency of the ability of goodness to last and influence after years .so we can latch onto it and take sustainance from it. what a gift to humanity.talk him out of it. he didn't get caught in the madness and euphoria/seduction of the little picture but could see the big picture and therefore recognise the insanity he was caught up in and say with the conviction of his life ,"thanks but no thanks". what a hero.i hope all whistle blowers can take strength and comfort from a speech like this when they feel alone and reviled. i'm continually amazed and staggered at the strength and potency of the ability of goodness to last and influence after years .so we can latch onto it and take sustainance from it. what a gift this speech is to humanity. i pray that we have enough brains to not just listen to it but take it onboard
