Looks like a solid investment. Cant beat those smooth slider shots. Adds the right touch of movement that doesn't feel forced...
I love my Edelkrone
Use it once a week for client jobs
Thanks for all you do
I stayed for the full 10:04 lol
Best regards, Rick
Wow Armondo. This video is amazing! This looks super!
Thanks Armando and team...I have the large slider and HeadPlus Pro. I ended up replacing it with a new HeadPlus Pro as it wasn't working properly. Thank goodness it was within warranty and they asked no questions and sent the replacement. And yes...where is the on off button!?!?! Maybe I am missing the reason why but you would think it would be there. Otherwise, it's a great and solid system. I watched many videos about sliders and for the features and quality, I picked Edelkrone.
Edelkrone is top notch - you can't get any better.
Fantastic video Armando, I'm really interested in trying Edelkrone. Thanks for the insight.
Tomas Villegas Thanks Tomas, let me know if you have any questions feel free to hit me up
Congrats on 400k Armando!
Loved the ending! Haha. Also great cinematography man.
I've got the sliderone v1. And I'm pretty happy with it so far. I've noticed the same thing that if you leave the batteries in it they will drain and be completely dead the next time you want to use it. So I ha e to keep taking them out to preserve life.
How is the motor noise? Ive heard its too loud for any audio mounted nearby?
wish someone like you would review the GVM 3 axis slider, it can do a lot of the stuff the edelkrone does for a fraction of the price
Armando hermano, gracias for monumentally excellent video! So helpful, honest, real. Happy subscriber here. Cheers!
Just received the SliderPlus Long to use with the Tilt Kit v2, and two Head Ones.
Good stuff as always! Really cool slider, I want one lol
Congrats on 400k
One thing to note about what you said: yes, it is annoying that if your phone locks or you get a call you have to re-pair stuff. BUT, the slider WILL continue its motion until it’s complete even if you’re not in the app.
I've had my eye on Edelkrone for a long time. Their stuff looks really solid. I liked your take on it in this video.
*QUESTION:* can you control all the axis in real time so an operator could use it to follow the action as it unfolds (at least to the maximum speed of the actuators)?
Robert Shaver Yup, you can manually use it and control everything in real time.
Edelkrone #1 love it
Ah, so cool. I'd love to know what you think of the Rhino Arc II when it comes out!
Yeaaaah, 10 minutes! Haha
I’d like to see a video on the EOS R protective case you have on there
I've always wanted to try their products. Just out of my budget. So I'm stuck using a $50 motorized dolly from Amazon. Works ok but it has a lot of limitations.
Look into the SliderOne V2 it's not crazy expensive and Edelkrone makes it.
Great video man!
Can you make one on the Fuji X-T3?
I’m the Second comment! About the slider is AMAZING. I like your style of vlogging I’m always learning from your content. Keep it up “Mando”
Thanks for fine video
Make sure to use it with a (very) sturdy tripod, such as Armando's Sachtler.
Otherwise, the whole rig will fall down when the slider reach the far end.
While sliding on a tripod, Do you experience any downward flexing with this slider when it reaches either end?Especially with heavier setups...hard to see this thing not flexing even ever so slightly...Also, I don't use a fluid head for sliding because I haven't found one strong enough to to combat this downward flex, at least when the slider is on the tilt axis of the fluid head. Completely locking that tilt axis seems impossible...I've had ”support arms”there you bridge a gap between the tripod and slider, which is super solid... but not really possible with the edelkrone because the rails moves while your sliding...so back to fluid head. Is there one strong enough and if so what is it???🙄🙄 I appreciate you taking the time to read and hopefully answer this jam packed question.
Hey,
Thats a great review. I actually use the slide module v2, on a GH5, how do you set your timelapse settings on camera and on the app?
I actually had to manually press the shutter button on the camera and at the same time activate the timelapse on the app.
Can you also do a loop without timelapse feature on? More like an infinite loop.
Thanks man
How do you deal with the bending down of this slider when weight is shifted completely to the one end.?
These magic double length sliders tend to weigh down a lot when sliding.
Traditional slider also have this problem, but you counter act it by placing 2 tripods underneath the both ends of sliders.
But if this double length slider is used with 2 tripods, then it won't do the double slide.
Any ideas Armando??
Hey Armando! cooll vid, what tripod use in this video? thanks ;)
What's up man? I ended up getting two HeadOnes and the smaller edelkrone slider, the SliderOne. I'm saving up to get the SliderPlus Long and the motion module for it. Questions...does this slider feel portable to you? Would this be easy to take with to trade shows? Also, what would you recommend for tripod legs? Was that the Sachtler Flowtech 75 you were using?? I need something portable for tradeshows and possibly having to be packed in a suit-case.
"portable" is subjective, you can check their dimensions on their website to see the size. Yes, tripod is the Sacthler Flowtech 75 and it pairs very nicely. Kinda hard to recommend a tripod without testing payload.
Nice vid
Do you notice any tilting on the ends of a slide like version 1?
Do you recommend using this for podcast recordings? More specifically, we need the slider motor to be quiet.
Hi Armando. Just getting into real estate video. Pure beginner. How do you think this would work for interiors. Have a gimbal which I think has its place but just like the elegance of the slider. My thanks in advance.
Hey I asked you some questions in your baby c 200 video on the Eos r and just trying to get a response. Thanks
can i ask how you get that beautiful soft matt look on your blacks , ( 7:58 ) i really love that look , i am work currently at storyboard on a Childrens Bear film and would love to encorparate that look . its really beautiful , i use the BMPCC4k with 12-25mm , any ideas anyone ?
slider 1 v2 ftw
5:10 Easy fix - Stop taking calls while you're working. ;) Great vid.
That’s not the issue, if you get a phone call it stops the app. You can’t control who calls you the simple fix is to fix the app to have background processing enabled
Does it work with smartphones also like yhe Gripgear?
I love everything Edelkrone has.. I want it all...
But my wallet says no.. lol..
This whole system is next level.
I would love to see a blind test with an inexpensive motorized slider and this to see if people would tell the difference..
That seems like a great video idea, considering I have a ton of sliders I might actually do this :)
You started to mention use at a timelapse slider,, but then you stopped. How slow will it go? from A to B?
How do like it compared to your iFootage slider? I’m looking at a new slider to use with a canon EOS R and maybe BMPC4 I like the size and portability of the iFootage mini. I have the original Edelkrone and barely use it because I do a lot of interview stuff (the original motor is too loud, in my opinion). I would probably use an Atomos with the canon.
Thanks for all the great reviews! Been following you for a while now!
I like it better because it can hold way more weight, also it's smaller and more portable too. I love the app better on iFootage, both are equally built great but iFootage is also half the price. If you're using smaller cameras like Sony a6400 or even A7III the iFootage works great anything bigger go with Edelkrone.
What is skin cover is that on EOS R?
Gerenally, ok. Here's a couple of issues:
1. Works well with DSLRs, but a heavier cam will cause disruption in smooth motion
2. Not ok for interviews, as noise coming from slider is significant
whats the red case on the eos R?
What is the max load?
Would i buy this gear for the everyday stuff i do. No. If there was a specific job that required i had this slider then i just might consider it. The price alone dictates who it's marketed for because to be honest you can buy an ibis camera body and lens for that money alone and still manage to get somewhat along with stabilization. Great video by the way.
I still can't decide weather to get the edelkrone or the rhino arc ii
A very tough decision that I'm not able to take 🤔
Hi Armando- how fast can this move from one end to the other? (What’s the fastest?)
You show a Blackmagic 4k rigged to the Head One tilt combo. To what I can understand of what others have said, the Blackmagic will not balance correctly. I see you have the cage on it so it will be able to screw on to the mount. The weight capacity is seven pounds for the tilt head, that combined with being off balance, is it able to work correctly? I'm only asking because I am considering this system for my BMPCC 4k.
I would like to try it but I think from a timelapse standpoint I would use the Syrp, just to be able to extend it 😊
This is the slider plusPro version or only the slider plus?
How accurate are the repeated movements for compositing different shots together?
✌
Is there any motorized sliders that are budget friendly in the hundreds?
jittering problem?
Lol I'll stick with my $50 slider for now. But I can one day dream of getting one like this
Designed by Kadir KÖYMEN
My GVM motorised slider can do everything I want for 369 $$ and it is smooth as butter
I have a GVM and the original (not this new version) of the Edelkrone. I bought the GVM because the Edelkrone was unusable for interviews. I can’t hear the GVM at all! It’s an amazing value!
Curious, since I'm new to videography. Would this work with a gimbal? Like a Ronin-S? Awesome video's!
@@CoveringFish maybe I am, but did you see the part where i said "I'M NEW TO VIDEOGRAPHY" ? But thanks for responding. Have a good day!
Phil Daniel Jesus calm down bro. Sliders would do what you would want a gimbal to do but better, however not mobile. A slider is like a tripod that moves very slowly. A gimbal is for holding it and walking around to get stable shots. If you want to change the angle while filming on a slider you can do that with added accessories. Not by adding a ronin s on top.
@@CoveringFish hey it's all good! Not upset at all. I was just thinking if trying to combine both systems maybe you'll get something cool out of it. But the gimbal that I have "ronin-s" is far too tall and al it would do is wobble. Apologize if my reply sounded like I was upset. I assure you that was not my intentions. Hope your weekend was all good!
People say it jitters every time a slide starts, have you had this happen?
at the end of the day you realize going from
profoto to godox
edelkrone to zeapon
then use your remaining cash to travel and shoot amazing scenes
What would you say is the best Motion Control slider?
Armando Ferreira Black Magic Ursa G2 or Sony FX9. All 3 turning points for vfx work?
Armando Ferreira Wonderfull🙏 Thats what I was thinking. Been out for a while but looks robust and powerful. Dose it allow you to program your sequence, so you can do the same movement with all 3 axis? This would be important for vfx, to align the same bit of film with layers like rain, fog and so on.
@@ADNZ5442 yup, if you DM on IG I’ll send you some videos I’ve done in the past
I watched pass 10mins!!!
But the REAL question, is did you know your CZcams thumbnail would loop seamlessly?
A while ago you said ifootage shark was better than edelkrone...are your still feeling the same way ? Cause the pricepoint is really not the same
@@mondobytes I have a bmpcc4k and a7iii, would you have a recommendation ? I'm going to spécialize in food commercials with the laowa probe lense
As a wedding film maker, I would never spend this much on a slider. I currently use a $120 slider. Gets the job done.
I ❤️ Synthwave
edelkron best turkish firm.
Is this SliderPLUS Pro or normal?
Thank you answer me.
I thought you were using C200, so you were using SliderPLUS. (around 3:20)
This looks good but come on, that much? Noxon slider is around 3 times less, larger and has some sweet software controls.
I am not one to ever complain about price of gear. Fortunately for me I enjoy a position where I don’t have to worry about price, however even though I own this kit and it’s pretty good, edelkrone prices are abusive and excessive in relation to value. They should make their tech accessible to more creators that have a smaller budget. Just sayin...
#gamepatty
Short answere: No.
Oh snap, did you steal Connor from Dave‽
I feel i am paying the cost of tons of free samples sent to youtubers
Slider itself cost tooo much compared to the quality i have seen.
Armando Ferreira
I have the sliders long- motor and two headone + turntable.
The only thing which is reasonable prices is sliderone v2.
Admit that it is the only software that perform really good.
If you provide anyone with the slider alone beside any others like ashanks or newer... he will never expect the price.
Slider is overpriced for the build quality.
Automation Professionals But you didn't provide an alternate option. You keep saying it's "overpriced" but show me another slider that is this compact, has long travel, can hold a fully rigged cinema camera and has all of the features for less? I'm not trying to argue I'm genuinely asking to see if there's something out there that maybe I missed and would love to review it. Saying it's expensive but not providing an alternative option is a bit misleading. Sure you can argue there's better built sliders and I can name several but they also don't do the same things or are as small as this. That's where there's a trade-off and you have to pick what's more important to you.
Armando Ferreira
You reach the point ... i am paying for no competition not for spacecraft quality.
Edelkrone price is a ripoff. I found Rhino arc it is similar quality at a cheaper price. Also for edelkrone, you need to get much more expensive and sturdy tripod because of the rail extension. Btw another pro review thank you, Armando :)
$2k for this?? Nahh! I would spend on some others
Version 2.0 means you have to upgrade.......version 2.1 upgrade........2.2 upgrade......for the price of a used car HARD PASS
It's true, it costs as much as a used car, but it is an item that makes you money. You can do shots you couldn't do with other sliders or devices.
Been using the SliderONE for many years love it!
