About three years ago (teacher in London primary) I came across Harriet Ball and was completely inspired. This, over time, has brought me to your video. I thought... hey, I'm not that cool. BUT, as an ex actor I thought, c'mon let's DO this. I came up with a chant for the threes, then the fours (more hip hop I like to think) and so on. To this day I watch children (not all but many) whenever they have to learn their threes (including my own son) chanting our 'rap'. It's silly really and doesn't make sense but I've had halls of children chanting... "3,6,9 THE MONKEY ATE A LIME, 12, 15 18 LET'S NOT KEEP HIM WAITING, 21 24 27 HE'S NOW IN HEAVEN and then we get to 30, d'ya know wadda I mean?". Thankyou Harriet x

This was on the third day of school. Took probably 5-10 minutes to learn the chant for each number.
It would take approximately 10x longer to cheat them the chant for one math problem than to actually teach them the fundamentals
