    For anyone stuck at the apple tree marking a single vert-- It's not enabled by default, but the "extra objects" addon (included in the release) has an add object> single vertex option. You need to go to the User Preferences and manually enable the addon. I was struggling to make one at first and googled this. Hope this helps!

    Wow, really nice video!!!
    I have a question related to assets in Blender and Unreal
    Im starting to make my own videogames and my own models for that, so I started making a "single archive" for every model that I make in Blender and export it to Unreal. But Im thinking that it would be better to do it the way you have everything here in the video, so I dont have in Unreal many folders with the same materials duplicated XD
    It is better make it indivually or "everything from the same class" together?

    When you use the color ramp to help randomize your colors as you duplicate the meshes, does that carry over to a game engine. for example would it behave the same if i exported it to unity? thanks in advance.

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't think that would work in Unity, because its a Procedural texture. So you would need to bake the colors out to a texture map, and use that to color the objects.

  • @CarlosSantos-qn8oc
    @CarlosSantos-qn8oc Před 2 lety +1

    Good night.
    I noticed that you applied simple shaders without separating the UVs from the objects. For this type of stylized project, you don't need to separate the UVs?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  Před 2 lety +2

      I didn't use any UV's because there are no textures on these objects, except for the procedural dots on the mushrooms. so the UV's are just whatever the defaults were of the objects.

      Hmm... After you press S, press X, Y, or Z. Does that change how its extruded?

    What version is this
    is it 2.9+ because I cant extrude on it

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  Před 2 lety +1

      Extruding doesn't change in different Blender Versions. Its always been, E, to extrude. You might need to be in the face, or vertex select, for it to work. But yes, I think I was using Blender 2.9 when I made this tutorial.
