Coils I highly recommend Fortune auto or Boardway Suspension. Two of my friends run them, one with a Golf R and one with an IS38 gti. Solid coils, get a rear sway for sure, upgrading the dog bone, pendulum mount and going upgraded motor mounts. 034 sells all these things, they sell some upgraded mounts at only 308 for the pair. I did a paint matched carbon hood and some Staggered wheels for track!

Heck yes dude we just bought sway bars from IE and new tires. But I think catch can is next along with some coil overs! I can’t wait to do suspension and see how it responds to the coilovers. How’s the ride quality?

@jacobMMotorsport it's pretty solid, they went with stiff springs at like 12 and 14k for the R and 10k and 12 I think for the gti? They both daily their cars and love it. Definitely worth the price. For sure get a catch can, APR and IE are the best but APR is far better than IE

Nice build. FYI, the OEM wheel bolts gave you issues because they are "ball seat" for OEM style wheels. Your Fifteen52 wheels require "conical" lugs. Wheel studs are still a great upgrade for the track because it makes it easier to take wheels on and off, but that's likely not what caused your issues.

Thanks that makes a lot of sense tho.but most likely the hub centric ring

@@jacobMMotorsportGood call, the hub centric ring is also important to make sure you have the right size. I think GTI's are 57.1mm

Good catch @gtitilidie8091. It's in the details. Wrong seats will definitely be a large part of the problem we had. Now I'm wondering if the shop that repaired the wheel for us installed the right seats as the wheel needed to be sleeved with new ones??! 🤔
