- Russia has no designs on any NATO country and will not attack Poland, the Baltic states or the Czech Republic but if the West supplies F-16 fighters to Ukraine then they will be shot down by Russian forces, President Vladimir Putin said late on Wednesday.

I think Russia and Russian government is very different but, when it comes to the presidents, I think americas past few seemed childish and seemed unsure of a lot of the decisions they made. Putin is very calculated and confident and his many years in government show in his wise decision making.
He's stating that the F-16's are "fair game" and he's correct. Mr Putin has been extremely patient with NATO but that patience just ran out folks.
The fact that he is always so clear with his message, tries to cooperate/negotiate first and does Exactly what he says and promises...
