Funny thing is! One of the Final Fantasy 7 Abridged's has FF7 Cid somewhat aware of his other selves! Both in the past AND future final fantasy, but when he ends up briging them up, it catches everyone off guard and wondering "WTF he's talking about" (And oh yeah he HATES space, he's actually NICER to his assistant BECAUSE her being in danger gave him the excuse to scrub the launch and save himself from having to go into Space! LOL)
This dude never really died, the way I see it. I've never seen a deceased character's presence being felt so much throughout the entire game. It was like he was always there.
He became LEGEND, especially thanks to Clive continuing to use his name as an Alias even after his death! I doubt Clive cares much as he's emboding Cid's wishes to end all this stupid madness of Men and Ultima!
@@icaliver Feels like their saving it for Part 3! Makes sense as by that point, next to finishing off other characters stories (namely Yuffie) they likely want to leave things open to work on Cid and Vincent. I'm sure if they do it good, Cid's "presence" in Rebirth will be forgiven (Still doesn't change that he got Red XIII treatment back in part 1/Remake where his stuff was saved for Part 2/Rebirth! Though to be fair, he shows up late enough that it;s impossible to get anything too much with him and even in Original you don't get much of Red till you get to the second continent/Cosmo Canyon anyway! At least Part 1/Remake gave him more presence during the brief closing moments of the Midgar Arc!) Not saying this as a "it will get better" but more wait and see! Frankly I refuse to judge the Remakes, ESPECIALLY to the Original till ALL parts are released! Remake does have some parts superior to Original and in others Original did them better! Plus if I remember straight Original FF7 Cid was considered a Base Breaker character for that "characterization" I'm hearing being "praised" in these replies! To the point it's no surprise they went FULL ON changing his behavior out of fear of him being a Base Breaker again! Yes he has good characterization.....if you get past him being a dick to his assistant Shera (alot of people funny enough DISMISS a character because of "Bad first impression" no matter IF they got better because they can't "Forgive" the bad first impression! I am not one of them, but it's good to be SURE you understand then ignore it because it's "inconvenient")

Despite the voice being “boring” or “terrible”, Cid’s character is the best.
