Birla Ganpati Temple | Tallest Ganpati Idol in Pune | Somatane Phata Ganpati|Chala Bhurr with Alisha

I was always curious on the Ganpati which I used to see whenever I used to travel on old Mumbai-Pune highway and today i did visit this Ganpati. This Ganpati is a part of Birla Ganpati Temple near Somatane Phata. You can take the 1st left when you cross Somatane Toll Naka.
This temple was founded on 17 Jan 2009 by Jayshree Charitee Trust, courtesy Sarla Birla. The Ganpati idol is huge and also has a mini Ganapati idol for puja and darshan exactly in the middle. Both the idols are beautiful and give a calming vibe. The big Ganpati Idol is 72 feet and it weighs around 1000tonnes. It also has a cute version of Ganpati's Vahan - Mushak. This idol is made up of cement, steel & copper. The artisans took almost 2 years to construct this beautiful huge structure of Ganpati. It is also said that this is the tallest statue of Ganpati in Pune.
As per the Hindu Mythology, the trust believes that number 9 is auspicious and so they have made this temple to arrive at the number 9 as below:
Height of idol 72 feet, 7 + 2 = 9
Base of idol 54 Feet, 5 + 4 = 9
Height of base, 18 feet, 1 + 8 = 9

मैं हमेशा गणपति के बारे में उत्सुक रहता था, जब भी मैं पुराने मुंबई-पुणे राजमार्ग पर यात्रा करता था तो उन्हें देखता था और आज मैंने इस गणपति के दर्शन किए। यह गणपति सोमातने फाटा के पास बिड़ला गणपति मंदिर का एक हिस्सा है। जब आप सोमाटेन टोल नाका पार करते हैं तो आप बाईं ओर से पहला रास्ता अपना सकते हैं।
इस मंदिर की स्थापना 17 जनवरी 2009 को सरला बिड़ला के सौजन्य से जयश्री चैरिटी ट्रस्ट द्वारा की गई थी। गणपति की मूर्ति विशाल है और ठीक बीच में पूजा और दर्शन के लिए एक छोटी गणपति मूर्ति भी है। दोनों मूर्तियाँ सुंदर हैं और शांति प्रदान करती हैं। बड़ी गणपति मूर्ति 72 फीट की है और इसका वजन लगभग 1000 टन है। इसमें गणपति के वाहन - मूषक का एक प्यारा संस्करण भी है। यह मूर्ति सीमेंट, स्टील और तांबे से बनी है। गणपति की इस खूबसूरत विशाल संरचना को बनाने में कारीगरों को लगभग 2 साल लगे। यह भी कहा जाता है कि यह पुणे में गणपति की सबसे ऊंची मूर्ति है।
हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, ट्रस्ट का मानना ​​है कि नंबर 9 शुभ है और इसलिए उन्होंने नंबर 9 पर पहुंचने के लिए इस मंदिर का निर्माण इस प्रकार किया है:
मूर्ति की ऊंचाई 72 फीट, 7 + 2 = 9
मूर्ति का आधार 54 फीट, 5 + 4 = 9
आधार की ऊंचाई, 18 फीट, 1 + 8 = 9
