cottage core isn't about being lovely and sweet all the time you can like cottage core and have strong opinions/a loud voice/proud to take up space, im punk and i love cottagecore most of my alt friends do. i am nice but i just don't like being called sweet or innocent they were always used to put me down and shit so sorry for this rant but children don't have to be innocent or pure or whatever tf people want, ik you probably didn't mean any of this tho

No one cares but time for me to launch into a rant about why cottagecore is an aesthetic dominated by people of the LGBTQIA+ community.
First of all, many LGBTQIA+ grew up pretending to be someone they were not. Saying you liked someone in school even though you didn't, being friends with people you may not have even liked, suppressing any feelings you have for others in fear of being predatory. We receive huge backlash and lots of negativity when we come out for being who we are. From this, a lot of LGBTQIA+ developed a huge imagination as a kid. Without even knowing it, they dreamed of a place where people couldn't follow them and they could be themselves without being judged. Hence, cottagecore is a dream because it feels like a far away fantasy world where we can ignore what people think of us and be ourselves. But why do lesbians specifically seem to be drawn to this? For the same reasons actually, societal gaze and judgement, but it's more specific. Many young girls are brought up to do things for men. It's all too common. Things like purity culture, showing skin but not too much skin, being funny, being pretty. At a young age, they're taught to do things for the attention of men and expect nothing in return. The idea of living a life in the woods with a female partner, without men around to judge you or rate your worth is ideal for them. Lesbians are also often feteshisised by straight men, so a place where it could be just them is also a benefit.
Uh anyways, if you are straight and joking and saying oh why are there no straight people in cottagecore ahah- Please stop. There are reasons it's a LGBTQIA+ based aesthetic, and if you enjoy it, great! But you don't need to point it out, you don't need to specifically say you're straight, we really don't care. Sorry if that's rude.

Yea same, I’m not Muslim but it’s hard to find some people of color out here that make you more comfortable in your skin. I could recommend a pretty cardigan that matches the hijab? Like monochrome goodies

My fellow cottagecore peeps, please weigh in your thoughts on this.
A gothic lord runs away with his servant and they live in the servant's childhood cottage in the woods. They practice magic at night with the fireflies, learn to tend a garden, take care of the animals and baking.
The lord is often quite elegant but he enjoys dirt and mud, gathering mushrooms and foraging with bare feet and muddied arms with a basket of various plants and frogs. He also likes to dote on his husband.
The servant is a bit cleanly, practices magic the most and interested in baking or taking care of chickens. He often lovingly helps his husband ( the lord) with whatever crafting projects he has, foraging and learning the different ways his husband manages to get frogs in the cottage. While teaching his husband the different types of flowers and mushrooms.
Thet both live happily ever after. ✨❤ after years of pining of course. 😌

I wanna tell you all if you wanna redecorate your room cottage core dollar tree has some pretty good stuff besides the thrift store. The dollar tree has nice candles and cute mugs that maybe can be found vintage. And you can get a few decorations from there. As well as little jars to grow your flowers in or to put your dried flowers in or anything. And you maybe can find some flowers seeds in there hopefully
Also another decoration tip is dried oranges ran through a long string and you can just tape it on your wall or above your window✨
For those who want to know, technically 1:38 would be considered more of a compote, a jam (for berries) has a requirement to be 47:55 fruit to sugar ratio (by weight). Apparently there are a bunch of rules that determine what constitutes a jam.

As a desert rat(Arizonan) you just buy some at Lowe’s and get a cute little pot and put em in! Make sure it’s spacious since it’s roots go down and spread out in a T pose. Don’t over water it since it can drown. Water like once every 2 weeks with a little bit of water the soil shouldn’t get muddy. Also for the soil if you get it in really good soil that retains moisture for a longer period of time than the soil here in Arizona so if you do this you can push the watering to once every 3-4 weeks. Don’t put it outside and make sure to put it in a warm place with sun.
