In the manga the conversation was a little different. But maybe the manga I was reading wasn't properly translated.

So it seemed that Natsuo used to cook and Endeavor insulted his cooking without knowing that it was Natsuo who cooked it
The translation s I read said that Natsuo's food wasn't given to Shouto cuz it was too rich in taste.

There is a wonderful meta analysis of this scene about how the Todoroki siblings represent how children react to their abuser attempting for amends. Fuyumi is the child that wants the family to reconcile and "be a normal family". Natsuo is the one who doesn't believe the abuser has changed and how they don't deserve forgiveness for the hurt done. Shouto is the middle who wait and see if the abuser is truly changing before forgiving. They react differently and all of them are valid.

I've been through similar experiences, and I ended up taking the same stance as Shoto in the situation. This is the most impartial way to deal, because if we delve too deeply into our emotions and traumas, and only take that into account, horrible feelings like hate and hurt consume our soul until there is nothing left... our own sense of identity can get lost in the middle of it. It's a terrible place to be. However, Natsuo is also completely right in his thoughts, most abusers never change, and honestly, I think Endeavor's surrender in MHA wasn't good. He did a lot of damage to "redeem" himself in such a vague way.

Makes sense to me, considering Deku struggled with being an outcast as a kid. When you're in the middle of something that tough, you fall apart or gain wisdom.
Fuyumi and Natsuo are good examples of Endevors former abuse, one tries to gloss over the fact they where abused while the other harbors resentment for it. P.s Fuyumi is waifu material

Technically they never got abused tho. Fuyumi was born as a sibling support for Touya and Natsuo was a "failed" attempt befote he got to Shoto. So Endevour didn't give them the same treatment Shoto and Touya did.

Just because Shoto and Touya abuse was more horrible then Fuyumi and Natsuo doesn’t mean their abuse isn’t important. He basically neglected Fuyumi and Natsuo at a young age and neglection is really harmful for a child not to mention seeing their father abuse their siblings and mother. So yes they was abused. No abuse should be compared by how horrible it is for one person and not the other. At the end of the day abuse is abuse. No need to compare who abuse was worse. That just dumb.
@@donthugmeimscared8522 Touya, Fuyumi and Natsuo did not suffer from abuse, Touya suffered from HPD, Rei was just weak and Fuyumi and Natsuo were simply ignored do to the fact they were only born with ice quirks. The only one who truly suffered any true abuse was Shoto in the form of physical damage from training and familial social isolation. Enji immediately ceased Touya's training the second Rei's genes removed his fire resistance and he started burning himself and reprimanded him every time he caught him with burns, Natsuo is simply using Enji as a scapegoat for his self loathing since he knows he is partly to blame since he wasnt there for Touya or Rei in their times of need but dosent want to say the quiet part out loud( until later that is),Rei for some reason blamed Enji entirely for their own mentally unstable child ( that attemted murder once) incinerating himself and an entire forest despite being told not to use his powers and somehow thought he was going to make Shoto do the same thing. Fuyumi simply understand the present is all that matters even if she acknowledged Enji still holds some responsibility for went down. Shoto the one who suffered the most is allowing Enji to atone for what he did. Rei forgave him and Touya was simply a bad egg. Besides Natuo and Fuyumi are both heirs to Enji's fortune and enjoyed free rides through college and are doing quite well for themselves on so clearly Enji cared somewhat for his "failures".
Which is very relatable to anyone with a broken home. It's awkward, and everyone involved struggles to move forward in their own ways.

I know this is Endeavor’s redemption arc but it’s still a mystery what got him to change. He’s been abusive all up to 40 years. Hospitalized wife, “dead” son, villain war. The only thing that humbled him is that Almight lost his powers? This man has a superiority complex. And it shows.
Endeavor is 46 years old, and you said he was abusing for 40 years, so he was 6 years old when he started abusing?🤣 endeavor started smacking his wife around before touya disappeared and he started training shoto when he was 5, and shoto is like 15 years old so probably 10 years or 15 years the abuse lasted, endeavor changed because the position of number 1 hero felt meaningless without his family and when he got the number 1 position he went crazy and destroyed his home gym because he didn't earn the position fair and square like he wanted, he wanted to earn the position fairly and not on a technicality.

I love the fact that Izuku always seems to know how to use the best words and how much he helps his friends with that... He sees the best in Shoto, his beautiful evolution, and made a point of expressing that. The first time I saw this scene I was very happy, their friendship is sensational. I love them!
