It was TV shows like this and the Whirlybirds series that I loved watching as a kid. Seeing those Bell 47 choppers fly really inspired me to become a helicopter pilot. I was fortunate enough to train in a Bell 47 many years ago and it was a dream come true.

This is one of the rare HPs without a woman. It's amusing that the bad guys always slug a victim in the head with a pistol, and they always quickly recover. In reality, such a blunt force trauma would almost certainly kill a person.

Kind of funny some of the silly things they'd say back then. The helicopter had a range of two hundred miles, so Broderick draws a circle 200 miles across and sends a helicopter out to search for the helicopter. That would be more than six times the size of Connecticut.
