I loved the Sunshine Court! I am obsessed with Neil and Jean’s friendship and I really liked how Nora forms a slow burn but places a significant importance on friendship and finding a home/family.

@@Free_palesti of course! these are some books that made me excited to pick them up when i woke up: a good girls guide to murder series by holly jackson (ya mystery/thriller, her other works were 5⭐️ too); six of crows duo-logy by leigh bardugo (ya fantasy); stardust by neil gaiman (adult fantasy/fairy tale); as long as the lemon trees grow by zoulfa katouh (ya contemporary, check trigger warnings though); a tempest of tea by hafsah faizal (ya fantasy); all the lovers in the night by mieko kawakami (adult lit fic); better than the movies by lynn painter (ya romcom)

Omg all for the game just gives such a indescribable feeling ahhhhh. I was not expecting to like tsc as much as I did because it was literally published ten years after the main series but oh lord I am obsessed 🤩

I LOVED The sunshine court so much🥺 the way i was just completely absorbed in this story.. I will protect Jean and Jeremy with my life! I didn't want to start anything new for days after, it gave me the biggest book hangover, and now i am just obsessing over fanart😭The second one is hopefully coming this year (ofc it might take Nora more time, but i think that's the plan for now)

I was in kind of the same situation until I read the sunshine court, this series changed me in the best way possible. I read TSC on thursday and I can't stop thinking about it!!!

Also the way Neil doesn't appear a lot but everytime he appears he just SLAYS?? I'm sorry but he's amazing and I was screaming everytime he appears. My mother thought I was crazy.
I'm too in love with this book and waiting for the sequel because WE NEED JEREJEAN. As a huge fan of slowburm she's the queen. The way she just makes the best characters ever? Idk they just feel so real and I love her for that.

so yes… i’m obsessed with jean moreau like it’s brain damage at this point. i can’t stop thinking about TSC it’s everything i wanted from it and more 😭😭. aftg is the most life-changing experience fr. also dare i say… TTPD is so jean coded it’s insane. and there’s gonna be a fifth book! either a duology or trilogy we’re don’t know for sure yet but. yes

YES THERE WILL BE A FIFTH BOOK!!! The Sunshine Court is amazing, loved the book!! Also Jeremy does show up in the first three books as a very minor character (Kevin talked about him and USC a bit throughout the books)

I just LOVED AFTG honestly one of my obsessions. I decided to randomly reread it at the beginning of this year (what's a better way to start the year?!). I was so SHOCKED in the best of ways when I learned she was coming out with the Sunshine Court. Like I NEEDED this, from the moment Jer stepped onto the page, and took Jean in. CANNOT WAIT TO READ IT

I would try to force read a few books in the past few months trying to desperately get back into reading. I never was able to finish any new books I bought until Fourth Wing. I watched Stephanie Soo’s BAM on it and NEEDED to continue. Got the audio book and the ebook with no hesitation - finished in 3 days. A record for me with a fantasy book and now I’m onto Iron Flame 😮💨 totally agree with waiting for the right book to come along because I need the physical books at this point

I thought TSC was good! Nothing will ever live up to the OG’s for me (Neil is literally my biggest comfort character to the point I have a stuffed animal named after him), but I was happy with how TSC expanded on the series and some of the scenes we already experienced!
My one qualm I didn’t personally love how Jeans new team deal with *learning about him* (trying to avoid spoilers). There were definitely parts that they were pretty pushy, and it made me uncomfortable that Jeremy IMMEDIATELY spread Jeans biggest secret to their housemates after he found out. BUT I also understand that I’m comparing this team to the Foxes which isn’t fair, as all of the foxes went through trauma and know how to be patient and supportive to someone who went through something horrific. The sunshine court are pretty new and unequipped with experience in that area, and are doing what they can to welcome their new friend, especially as they’re all very outgoing people. Really looking forward to the series progressing and seeing even more of my favorite characters (hearing about Neil from an another narrator was so interesting!)

I lowkey liked The Sunshine Court more than the first three books however the first half of it is SO entwined in the original plot it cannot be read as a standalone.
