    Yes they do, if it's a PGA event. You can usually take cameras to practice rounds though.

    Sweet vid man, it's always cool to see different people's style and approach. I'm not much of a golfer, but shooting them looks fun.

    Hi Mike! I wonder how to get credential for a golf tournament. I usually shoot ice hockey but I want to test a new sport. I´ve play golf for 15 years and shooting canon for 6 years so I'm not a beginner. Do you know if they accept more photographers on a golf tournament rather then hockey? Obviously its more space on the field :P

    As a stringer for AP, I was assigned to shoot an event and got lucky with some neat images. Once I showed what i could do, marketing my services was easier. You need to contact the Media Relations people and somehow get them to see your portfolio. Otherwise, you must be affiliated with a media outlet.

    Are these the RAW shots pre Develop? They'e very underexposed?

    • @photoblur2u
      @photoblur2u  Před 6 lety

      They look underexposed because it is video footage of my actual laptop screen.

    I shoot on assignment. I'm hired to come in and shoot the event and whoever hires me gets the images on a disc.

    Mike,
    How did you become a professional photographer for golfing events. I've played since the age of 7 and am now 32 and am interested in becoming a photographer for the PGA Tour. I shoot with a 7d and 70-200 for now. I have the Zurich Classic coming up here in New Orleans in a few weeks and am trying to get credentials. Need help!

    Contact the Media Relations department and request a credential, DaaniBeats. If it's a PGA event, you'll likely need affiliation with a media outlet.

    HEllo everyone need some advice and guidance. I have offered to photograph a golf tournament in benefit of a high school sports team at a club I play and they are ok with it. I want to do it as a contribution to the event and to spotlight the event. Which lens should I rent tele and wide for the event and how I go about writing a contract in reference to I am offering my services as a contribution to the event and support. I will also be one of the sponsors for the event
