There’s so much of a debate about the goats. I’ve heard they just collect the hairs and other times I hear that it’s goats that are going bye-bye anyway. It’s one of those things that I happily shelter myself from, I admit. It’s like whenever I’m in Scotland with my husband I go on and on about how cute the sheep are and then I always add, “and they’re delicious too.”
The esthetic of these beautiful brushes is exactly up my alley...for i kind of never managed to clean white bristles properly i stopped buying brushes with white bristles....but these look sooo tempting,dear Rebecca!❤😍🥰Thanks for showcasting these!xoxo, Steffi 😘

I'm also a "brush snob" so I had pre-ordered only the large bronzer brush to try out. I was surprised by how soft it was but it was definitely too airy for contour. But it did work out for all over bronzer. But I still love my sonia g and the previous wayne goss brushes better
I will forever prefer natural brushes. But, for times when only synthetic will really do, these are lovely.

Also would like to comment, that I often hear natural hair brushes aren't affordable, but when it comes to the eye-brushes, they are just a few dollars more expensive than say Sephora pro eye brushes but perform astoundingly better and work faster.... it's a no-brainer, in my mind. Now, face brushes I do consider that a much different price point.

I do enjoy Wayne Goss’s brushes and have quite a few of them and was generally excited for these synthetic brushes. I had a few concerns:
1) ALL the packaging seems so wasteful! I guess I was expecting them to be packed differently, like maybe in tissue paper or something else, not sure what I expected but definitely not a box filled with individual boxes AND plastic molds for the brushes.
2) I think the face set is missing a proper face brush. I appreciate how he included different sized brushes BUT im going to need a powder brush in this set.
3) Maybe it is me, but I felt they were a little light weight. They were missing a bit of heft.
I suppose I can rest easy now that I’ve watched your review. I’m a brush snob and seldom use them EXCEPT for BK Beauty, which ironically I do not enjoy their eye brushes as much as I do their face brushes, especially the foundation and concealer brushes. Anyhow, I’ll clean these up and give them a whirl in the next couple days. I think I was underwhelmed because of ALL those darn boxes!! It was work to retrieve each individual brush from those boxes and the plastic shaper mold. component.
I know you briefly compared them to BK Beauty but how would you compare them to his original synthetic brushes which I think are marvelous!
TRACIE! As usual, you speak for me as well. Lots to say here. I hear that people REQUESTED (???) they be boxed. Interesting as I had no idea of that but apparently quite true. And the boxes themselves were luxe, but the inside felt too, um, pedestrian??? Face set DOES need a standard face powder brush and maybe a bigger kabuki style, too, if I get to complain. haha. With BK beauty, it's their complexion brushes I love AND I WILL SAY, I DO prefer these because they get into nooks and crannies....which I seem to get more of every year, soon to be a nook and cranny granny, I guess, heh.

One funny thing regarding the brushes, well the brush boxes. My husband was breaking down the card board for recycling. I just toss boxes but he is a stickler for making sure they are broken down properly 😂 Anyhow, he knocks over the beautylish box and all these wayne goss boxes fell out. He realized they were empty and continued on with task. We are out running around and he asked me about the brushes. I said they are new and those were empty boxes, and he said he checked so he knew that. He goes on to ask me if all my other brushes were wore out or old 😂😂😂 I told him no, these are just new and different and he asked if all those brushes were used on my face, i told him maybe most. He was just shocked😂
Thanks for the demo! I purchased brushes 2 and 5 and I’m in love! I wanted to try out a couple before picking up more. They are so soft and beautiful. I personally love the box they come in- I plan to gift some for Christmas because the presentation (and product) are gorgeous. I recently picked up the BK Beauty small sized foundation brush and find it very prickly. Not sure if I got a defective one. It was pretty disappointing and I felt not worth the price. I have mostly natural hair brushes (rephr, Wayne Goss, Sonia G, etc) However I love good synthetics for certain makeup applications. Wayne mentioned in his video that more shapes/sizes from this line will be released in the future, I’m looking forward to them.
Melissa, I didn't get a chance to watch Wayne's presentation yet so I am very happy to hear that more shapes are coming.

Those Wayne Goss lipsticks have some great neutral colors. How well do they wear? Will they feather? Also, for some reason I thought the whole makeup line was going away. Am I wrong? Wayne should thank you for such thorough review of his brushes. Thanks for the video!💚
Deborah! Thank you so very very much I actually love his lipsticks and I think that walnut color is the perfect wearable brown, if that makes sense. I have heard that he is redoing and relaunching his make up line at some point soon so I’m kind of excited about that. I will say that he has been, in the past, generous and lovely and kind in regard to my reviews.

He has always been generous about other reviewers, (the late Mel Thompson comes to mind) so I'm not surprised you speak well of him. I'll be curious to see what he does next. I use natural hair brushes 90% of the time, but I do have select BK beauty brushes I adore. I didn’t rush out to get these WG brushes because I wanted to see if you thought there were any “must haves” in the bunch. I do LOVE his natural brushes and trust he’d only put out great synthetic brushes, too. They do look very nice! I like there are smaller shapes. I might give that #5 foundation brush a try because it’s small. If I didn’t have a jillion blush brushes I’d try the #3 too. I liked how airy it looked. (I need soft/airy blush brushes or I make myself look like a clown!
Today’s video was Opposite Day for you! Usually it’s “No need to make brush laundry!” But today it was, “I’m going to use 15 different brushes today!!” 😂😂😂😂 I bet that was hard to do, but you did it-and we appreciate it! 💕
The brush laundry, Lisa!!! You heard the groan across the country I’m sure this morning!! Haha I can’t help but always prefer fude. Like you, 90% natural hair brushes here too. But many of these really will have their place in my daily collection.
Great review! WG brushes are superb quality, I have quite a few of his earlier pieces, goat and squirrel, and they are outstanding. Will be nice to check out some of my fav pieces in synthetic now, esp the # 1, 4 and 5. As always, thanks for keeping us updated 🥰

My bronzer brush, angled cheek brush and push brush were misshaped. I did clean them and have gotten them into the shape they should be. People complained there were no boxes in the past but the boxes ended up putting those 3 in particular into a weird shape. So far I think they’re great. Thanks for the review.
I am so glad that you knew to clean them so they would regain their shape. A lot of people don’t know that and then are understandably disappointed when they don’t look as they should right out of the box

Marie! Yes. Those are the days when the Sonia sets sold out immediately and they were very few and far between
I'm really happy with the price of these brushes, i haven't used mine yet because they are part of my birthday present, so i have to wait till Monday 🙄 Wayne did say he is selling on Amazon also, and he did say he is adding more synthetic brushes to his line. Once I've tested them I'll report back 😁

Hi dear Rebecca, loved the video, thanks for the whole demonstration, and also, so quick!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Because it's quite some unpacking work, they came today, but maybe that was a request of people for Wayne, but i found it too much packaging. The main reason i order more synthetic brushes, i believe you know, that's because when our dear puppy had meningitis and was so, so ill last autumn, we did not know if he would make it, i started to look into this fude world more. Well, it's a mist. But i read here and there that especially the smaller animals die in a way, i do not want to say here, mainly the hair that comes into Japan from Russia and China. That made me decide: stop. Only goat hair, they are meant for consumption. So i thought by myself: become a veggie than, no, i cannot, not that i eat a lot of meat, and certainly not goat. But i thought: i have to do this better. So i only want goat or horse, and not too much. Dumping my beautiful fude collection in the North Sea, no of course not, and the Chikuhodo GSN 1 is my forever most loved powder brush, and have a bit back up but when they are gone, they are gone. Besides BK Beauty, i love brushes made in Japan that COPY real fude brushes, it's not the same, but close! On Beautylish there are also some from Chikuhodo, and i love them as well! Of course, the GSN-1 and the Z-series, my favs from that brand, but no more extra squirrel, kolinsky or other small animals tortured and killed, not for me. And i respect everybody's opinion, don't get me wrong! So i really am happy with these brushes! Could not use them yet, of course, but they are super soft! Is there any concealer-goal type of brush, yes, the ones you mentioned by BK Beauty and for me, the Rae Morris 6.5 i know it's expensive, but i love that one for concealer! I read a bit quick, here and there comments, contouring with cream products, don't know either, but there is BK Beauty for that, others, i believe also from Wayne's natural brushes, and i love the orange brushes for that from Units, especially the 303, further i always hear from Chelsea she loves the MyKitCo (hope i write that correct) brushes. But for this price, this is a beautiful set, and sooo soft!!! And, when they are more for powder products, i also love a good powder! It depends, how quick you want your makeup , what is the weather, etc. This is a bit long, sorry Rebecca. But these are beautiful for these price! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

I was after some new brushes so I invested in the whole set I haven’t used them yet as I want to write the names on them so I know which is for what. But they look and feel amazing,I will try them out at the weekend when I go out. I just wish they came in a pouch or something to hold them in.

That is the walnut shade of the Wayne Goss lipstick. It’s such a pretty shade. Oh yes. Get a sharpie marker and write on the end of each but you will find, as you get to know them and use them, you’ll end up using them the way you want which won’t necessarily be Exactly what they’re meant for. You will get creative because they are, after all, just tools ❤️
I picked up several of the brushes to try out, waiting for them to dry. Just slightly turned off by the volume of packaging for each brush. I read a comment here that people complained that there were no boxes but I still just thought all of the packaging per brush was overkill.
Yes, apparently, boxes were requested by people. The inner packaging is a little bit much though. I agree
Hi Rebecca thank you for your amazing review - I may pick up one brush from this collection. Do you find they are streaky? I would prefer Koyudo or Sonia G synthetics and I really hope Sonia eventually goes down this route and offers a complete synthetic collection. BK beauty brushes smelled like rancid plastic out of the box and have already begun shedding for me. What a waste

Yes! Actually the brush I used to apply foundation would be perfect for it and the other one would be that more dense brush that I used for the highlighter and then the blush on the other side of the face. That brush would be perfect as well which I think is the number two

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I just got them. My opinion is that the packaging (cardboard box with a plastic insert) is in line with the price. The brushes feel very soft on the skin. Comparing with Rephr and BK (I have almost all of them), I found the packaging better on WG. I must say I both them in UK. Have a good day 🌞

I have a few BK and love my rephr brushes. I was so tempted by his last release but the price just not doable. I also want to dabbed with Sonia G as I always see them by so many but expensive as well. Still may have to grab a few but wishlist for now. Danessa Myricks I think also released a full set of brushes. Huge set, expensive but a lot to it. I guess I can see a few of these would work but for example, the rephr midi - maxi sets for the eyes I thought was brilliant. What to do?🤷🏼♀️
It really is overwhelming. I haven’t heard much about the Danessa brushes, other than the fact that she released them so I’d love to know more about those. It really is impossible to decide and I try them all except I haven’t tried the ones yet… So my collection is just massive at this point.

Ooo, VERY good question. I would say ENTIRELY different brushes really. I like the rephr I tend to use more all over the eye and this I'd use more for the crease.

I love my Rephfr (i’m sorry I’m sure I just spelled that wrong), Morphe and even real technique brushes. You don’t have to break the bank to get good brushes. Don’t get me wrong I think they look nice, just not in my price range. I would rather spend it on make up ha ha you know me. 😅

I’ll be blunt. I don’t like his new brushes. For me, the color is the turn off. They remind me of brushes I’ve seen in the Dollar Store. Plus I already have some very good synthetic brushes. TOTALLY fair point. I'm not a huge fan of the white either, to be honest. Darker handles "feel" more sophisticated. True.
I agree don’t like the white handles I think it looks cheap were the black looks elegant expensive I normally love Wayne makeup brushes but these are a no for me maybe it’s just because I’m a brush snob but to me these don’t look the usual quality of his brushes look like they would go out of shape easily sorry Wayne still love your products just not these
