Don’t know if it’s true .But I remember reading that it’s some kind of bacterial grow on the skin of the fish .See it sometimes on walleye at St Anne .

Awesome work Glenn, you pulled out some gold from those ice holes lol. As soon as I get some time, we'll head out together, way overdue. I've been working almost every day for the last few weeks, no ice fishing for me yet.
P.S. Regarding the camera angle, I prefer having the hole in the frame and also the tip of the rod...that where the action is 👌
