I’m stuck between going to art school and trying to get my medical degree…..
Maybe try going to a university with an art program! I have so many friends in premed that are also minoring and/or taking art classes on the side like ceramics and painting
@@brettpaint I actually plan on doing that because I wanna be a Vet tech working at a 24/7 service plus they have very flexible work schedules. Which is awesome!
So I can work on my art channel while working another dream job with animals!
Maybe you could apply for a dual program with RISD and Brown! Students do that… I heard one girl majored in apparel design and nueroscience
@@brettpaint planning on having an art minor with a CS degree and now i feel encouraged knowing its not uncommon. :]]
This is so interesting as an Australian art student bc university and community collage works so differently to here- thank you you’ve inspired me to maybe make a video about this topic but I’ve never made a video before haha
My question is what’s next? I know I love art and want to go to art school, but like what do you do once you have the degree?
i have the same question
thanks for this brett!!
Art school is torture (well, in my experience). 1) I have absolutely no free time bc I paint/draw all the time. 2) I'm forced to draw what I don't want to. 3) My teachers are rude. 4) Painting/drawing are really hard to do. 5) Most of the day is spent at art school. 6) Burnout is a normal thing there. 7) Art school contributes to my depression.
Why are u still going then???
@@carpet5287 bc that's what it takes to become a great artist
