I've had this same trash can for at least 3 years now, and I didn't know about the 'close can' and 'stay open' commands. Just ordered the matte black version over the weekend.

I'm constantly opening the can with my hands full of messy stuff, that why I went out of my price comfort zone to get this. Already I can see it was worth the splurge
