I can't remember in which video John said "the more you look at AI art the more you see how bad it is" and after seeing this I couldn't agree more. If you like art then it matters the art has integrity (meaning the artist had a vision and made the effort to turn that into art). But if on the other hand you don't care much for art than AI art is just a novelty. To me at least AI art is somewhat useful and fun but largely unwanted.
Think it was the "AI art bros are butthurt" video.

Meanwhile AI Artists (title that can't even exist if you think about it) argue saying "Real artists can't bear the usefulness and efficiency of this tool" are now deevolving to weak chimpanzees

To be fair, it seems most of the pro-AI crowd is more right-leaning, but it doesn't really matter. It's doodoo and it's only gonna stay doodoo, probably getting worse over time being trained on it's own AI renders.

I understand this is a joke, and also find "Ai Art Bros" insufferable. But your overwhelming hatred for Ai isn't much better imo. If you're making art for fun, then it doesn't really matter how you generate an image or digital asset. If you're making it for a client, then all that matters is if the client is happy. It really is that simple. So if you're hobbyist, who cares how people enjoy a hobby? If you're a professional, and make your living providing art, then why can't you focus on whatever makes paying clients happy? I don't get the ANGER lol.
This channel I am commenting with is just a random side project I do for fun. I used Runway to generate some visuals and I think it's cool. Isn't serious. There are a lot of film makers upset about Sora, and musicians angry about Suno. I don't understand this either for the same reasons. I use Suno like crazy in my actual career. It helps me make demos that my team can then remake into full songs much faster than if we started from scratch over and over. It's just a tool.
Runway has been awesome to rapidly iterate ideas, and if we like a premise we will film it or hire an animator to remake it better. It's just anyway I look at it, as a full time artist myself, the anger from other creatives at Ai just blows my mind. Ai will never take my job, as I will always adapt to industry shifts and prioritize how to make paying clients happy and want to return. Inversely it has no effect on my playing my guitar for fun and not posting to social media. Why waste my energy being so mad about it?
He doesn't have a problem with ai users like u, he has a problem with ai users that solely use the ai art, music, or video just by itself and doing nothing with it and only posting it for clout, and or people who monetize ai.
