Welcome to "Morning Routine of Desert Women in Pakistan" This video shows the daily routine and culture of the people living in Punjab, Pakistan. Usually, desert village women's daily routine is to make butter from yoghurt and "Lassi Drink" (remaining yoghurt after taking butter from yoghurt by blending it). She cooks breakfast in the morning. She makes chapati in tandoor (mud oven). The children come to home at noon. The women present them with food and care for them.
The special Dish is Sangri go Sag Roti and butter paratha with desi or organic sugar in the cholistan desert and Punjab villages, in this video an old desert woman makes butter from curd or yogurt by using hand hand-driven wooden blender. Organic sugar which is also a form of jaggery, locally called "shukker" also makes a delicious combination with fresh butter when you put on hot Paratha.
Their husband's routine is grazing their animals. They sell cow's milk and cows to meet their Basic necessities of daily routine. Men daily went outside of the house with their animals for grazing and returned Back in the evening. They also arrange wood for cooking from the desert. Women cook and take care of children at home.
