But economists and accountants are looking at profits from 2 different perspectives.
Accountants are busy focusing on an owners capital gains/losses for one of their potential many businesses while an economist is looking at the owners gains/losses from a holistic perspective.
But maybe this is hatred grows stronger as both majors go deeper into their specialties?

Sir, please answer my question. My book says that Abnormal Profit is more than Normal Profit, and although Normal Profit is always positive, ABNORMAL PROFIT CAN BE NEGATIVE. How ???

but what if in your 2 options you either loose money or loose a lot more money.
One economic profit will be greater than the other, but in both scenarious accounting profit is negative
come to think of it, is there aslo "opportunity revenue" they money you are gaining by not spending it in a different option?

i have a question... as you used the example of LeBron james how he was making £20 million from basket ball and his total profit is -£19 million due to the implicit costs. i just wanted to know what his total profit would be if he was unemployed before or his explicit costs were 0?
